Well it's been done fella's 12.942 @ 106 ...

And I def have room for improvement. 1.94 60 on open diff and scared shitless of this sway I'm getting . I'm shifting like ****. Here now gonna try for a 12.8.

6M just need tires. I'm on et streets not the radials first time on them
and not doing any burnout. With time I'll pull 12.6 with these mods if I can get 60 to
a 1.8

Was going to say the same

Good et but that trap speed indicates the hp
the car is really making. My guess is on
a dynojet it would be around 300

the open diff with slicks or Drs seems to work just fine. I'd honestly be suprised if you shaved .2 off the 60 ft but best of luck

I clipped nearly 108 with ~280whp.....frankly it felt and feels a little down on power since I made those pulls too...

Chuck should be in the 110-112 area at a min..

I went there with ET Street Slicks... the car felt like I was floating on water... I hated every second I spent in the car... and DEF drove the car with extreme caution which could not of aided in my driving AT ALL...

I was pretty eery of the car every pass I made , I def did not shift all that well, shifted most likely too early in gears...

The car felt like crap on stock OEM tires with ET Streets 26x10.5 Drag Radials.. Scary with a swaying feeling.

With all of that said I am almost postive I would a good bit over 300 on a dyno jet.. Adam where is this dyno jet I am going there! lol Mustang Magic ?

vinny 10 brought a 350 turbo down , he had very similar tire setup with no skinnies. I for one will never run that set up again... the 1.94 60 I got could be acheived on street tires anyway... And is nothing to be proud of, I will improve that as I could just tell from my launches I could do better.

I did not heat them up a bit... Turned VDC off. drove around the water and did 1-2 rolling burnouts prob not producing much smoke at all.

Most Cars were putting up some lame times.. A few corvettes, me, 1 out of 4 Srt8's, and of coarse the track junkies, drove the cars some what how they should of. A G37 was running consistant 14.4s . that made me scratch my head, he had exhaust , g3s. etc.

but the sway was nasty and def impeaded on my driving to a large degree... I let off the gas in the beginging but realized that only made it worse.

I put the psi at 21 to try to help the sway but it still was nasty. Im thinking I shifted earlier and slower and just overall very precatous.

I am going to get a nice wide 18 inch MT Street Drag Radial and I believe I will fair much better.

My next mod is going to be (most likely) getting a set of 4.08 gears to pair with the OEM vlsd unit, A guy over on 370z site has one for me, I just now need the output shafts and prob gears since it will be open. That installed with a drag tire setup that doesnt scare the hell out me should def Improve my time to a very respectable one if all things go well. And I am even thinking just a set on non scary drag radials will allow me to drive my car to its potential.

There were also nasty head winds blowing at the car and to the side of the car, possibly making my condition worse ? No idea though just a thought.

My buddy who I spoke of making less power on the same dyno i went on 318 vs 342 trapped 108 just last week so I was supsrised at the low trap as well.

I am telling you guys I left a decent amount to be desired for next time yet the result is still pretty good. I honestly wanted a 12.8 @ 108+, that was my goal but anthing in the 12s was gonna make me happy... for now....

The car I ran in that slip was a brand new SS Camaro...

that was my third run of the night... 13.2 , 13.0, 12.9, 13.0, 13.2 those were my runs tonight. consistancy would suggest I was comfortable but I was far from it.

106.8 was my highest trap and was my last run of the night.

Very, very close to my PB......too bad my PB is on probably the worst 60' I pulled all last season. Don't know how it worked out that way, but it did.....

Here is mine for comparison:

The funny thing is I pulled back some mph, ever so slightly, back in the 2nd 1/8th....which shouldn't happen.

P.S. I win cause you red-lighted .

haha... You pulled back because the further down the track I got, the more i was scared shitless, and the more I prob shifted early or not like i should of... Im already in the midst of getting a new setup and will go asap. Im telling ya I didnt drive all that well with these tires on.

if anyone has some 18 inch stockers or even better 18x10 wheels they want to get rid of LMK... I could two rear wheels at the very least 18x8 .... lmk!

Also, Does anyone know if I will still experience sway if I went with the same size tire with thick sidewall but in the Street Radial with the directional tread and I am guessing stiffer sidewall ?
No, Right ?

If so I may just order up the same size in the street radial and throw these et streets on ebay and mount the radials on my 300zx wheels and get back there within a few weeks to see what happens...

the 300zx wheels and the slick on there now are defiantly lighter than my stock wheels though so thats good. My Stocks are the OEM 19" Rays.

03 350 come meet me at english town!!! there are no Zs there..

vinny ten brought down a 350z TT - was his first time at the strip he said. best of 13.2 @110

He seemed to have a nightmare day , no idea why but he had a ton of trouble staying on throttle out of the hole.. he was on ET Drags ..... stock fronts..

maybe same issue as my tires and scared ? I dunno... My sway feeling was way more noticable after the first 1/8 mile though...

Also What tires did you use 03threefifty for your PB ?

I never had any sway issues with the MT Drag Radials. I used to have all kinds of sway issues on big slicks with my old FWD turbo car.

I'd be all for Englishtown, but I don't own the Drag Radials any longer and the car is also set-up for autocross and open track days now.....stiff suspension, too much camber, etc.

This is a pic of my car from last fall when it was all geared up to break 12's.....that never happened.....

nice, good to know... Your Z looks very nice, I love the black..... I got my 27x10.5 M/T ET Street "radials but more a slick " from a mod on this site. Mounted on 16" 300zx wheels.. I mean they worked and I am sure I can get used to it, but its not something Im gonna do again...

here is a crappy iPhone shot of my Z tonight

I cant wait to get the radials than... I am just gonna stick with these rims I have and cut the loss on these et streets.. Ill put em on ebay for a steal and someone will prob pick them up...

I also have my spot in the LTH group buy coming up, but with me wanted a lsd , these new tires , and possibly gears, I may have to let me spot go.. but the LTH should help my car as well... It's scary how much cars begin to cost to just go a little faster down a strip or around a track, lol.

This Z4M ran a best of 13.3 tonight with a 2.1 or 2.2 60 foot... We talked a bit he was very cool.. It was modded too. When we lined up he ran a 13.7 to my 13.2 .... I was excited about that run. I also ran a near stock evo MR and I won by less than 1 tenth... And this is all when I know I wasnt going all out... The drag radials are gonna get me to a 12.8 Im pretty sure of that. Im pretty sure it will change my trap too.

I actually have very little money in hp related mods on my car......motor has high miles and is a bit smokey now from time to time, but still pulls hard. I am guessing you bought them from ACEMAN (Todd).....we have the same "home" track, but we were never at any local track at the same time.....go figure.
