Did the 370Z correct your issues with the 350Z?
So the 370Z has been out for a year now, and after having gone over the "what do you hate about the 350Z", do you feel the 370Z addressed your issues?
Personally, I feel it did not address my personal issues. (this does not mean it's a bad car).
My issues where -
Crap Paint
Cramped Engine Bay / Expensive to Modify
Reliability Issues (Window regulator, ps rack, SRS system)
The interior also does feel rather inferior for a ~40k car (03 Touring) when you look at a comparable 40k Audi TT, BMW 3-series or a even just a lowly MKIV Volkswagen Golf (msrp ~16k).
The 370Z may have made strides in the interior quality, but it's still no MKII TT, A5 or E90. Also, the ergonomics went to crap, my leg is jammed between the wheel and console ala 1995 Eclipse style, there is still no telescoping with the steering wheel and the cubby, while dressed in leather, only goes up 80-degrees and does not seem very useful. The new blue-red gauge theme also feels like a direct VAG rip-off.
Rear-Strut bar never bothered me, and viability is still horrible.

Who said I, or anyone hate either of them?
Both cars have clear short comings, auto makers strive to fix those short comings, for example, the 370Z now has flat fenders (bigger wheel fitment), improved interior, no rear-strut bar, weight reduction, shorter wheel base and more horse power... for many, that would correct their issues with the Z33.

Alright all things stated are true but for the most part the only thing nissan could fix is the crappy paint.
Cramped engine bay is the modern car way name a new car with space in the engine bay .
Most reliability issues that you mentioned have been fixed in the later 350's
Aftermarket has nothing to do with nissan plus its not a civic

Didn't address the issues for me, hence why I still have a 350, lol.
I don't think Nissan paint will ever be where it should be. There is a lot of orange peel from the factory and it chips easy. It was like that on my 2002 Maxima and it is no better on my 2007 Z and it is probably no better on the 2009/10 370Z.
The interior is nicer, to a point, there are a few things I hate (black pedals, the stupid LED gas and temp gauges), but overall I like it. Then again the 350Z interior doesn't bother me that much.
Other than that there isn't enough difference for me, performance-wise, to switch. Plus I don't like the exterior of the 370 as much, so unless they come out with a 400hp version, I don't see me buying any time soon.

I hear so much about poor rear visibility on these cars and wonder what cars they are being compared with. As far as 2 door coupes go, I think the visibility is VERY good. Beats a new edge mustang in any parking lot maneuvers and it's far easier to back out of a driveway than 4th gen eclipses (their side mirror placement is "odd" to say the least).

A friend of mine got a 370Z after I let him drive my 08 350Z. Before that, he was looking at an Audi TT-S.
A lot of little things that bugged me in the 350Z were fixed in the 370Z. The rear shelf and cargo space are usable, there's an oil temperature gauge (although i'd rather see an OP gauge instead of a voltmeter). It rides smoother but handles more confidently, despite having 19s, has a glovebox, etc. I'm going to sound like a huge tool but I like the bottom hinged gas pedal too. The dots-for-gas-and-temp thing kinda bugs me though, and the gauge cluster is a biiiit bright at night.

My old man has a 370 and I have a 350... its simple to me. I feel that the 350 is more along the lines of the 240z's of the 70's and the 370 is more like the 300's of 90's. Stop whinning about the price of parts... after all they are both $30k + (350z when new) so of course the parts are going to be expensive.. duh. Cramped engine bay? Hello... its a 3.5 in a tiny *** car, you want to see cramped check a 300z TT.. now thats a CRAMPED engine bay. Your rant about the inferior interior... cmon look at the cars you named TT, 3 series, Vdub? They arent sports cars! Compare them to ummm idk.. Mustang, Camaro, Evo's, STi's.. theyre on par. I think you shouldnt drive a Z if you think that they had "problems" that werent performance oriented. I'd buy a 350 over a 370, I dont like the way the 370 looks... 370's have an amazing interior though.
