I am looking into the 370z, and I can't decide whether NISMO is worth it or not.
I would like the performance upgrades, however I don't like the kit, spoiler, or the red interior.
I realize I could go with aftermarket parts on, say, a Touring. However I don't think I'll be doing any aftermarket modifications to this one.
Does anyone know if it's possible to do this?

I am not a fan of the body kit and spoiler as well. I will be looking for a 370z base w/ sport package since I do not want leather either. I doubt you can special order a Nismo that way but an easy answer would be to call a local dealer and ask them. I would go with a base or touring w/ sport package add exhaust, intakes, good coil over's and be around the level if not better than the Nismo.
Personally I love the look of the Nismo 370Z. Especially the body kit (front and rear bumpers and side skirts and the Nismo wheels). Too bad Nissan didn't make a Nismo with Touring options. If they did I would have one.

Although, the coilovers would certainly compete with the Nismo's handling.

From what I have seen the higher #'s do not translate well though..they screwed up the torque when the upped the Hp..Correct me if I am wrong but I have read that its actually slower than the reg 370z...Anyone on the forums have any slips on a Nismo ?
I have not driven a regular 370, but the Nismo 370Z's power is the first to "get my attention" on course.
I have an 05 with the DE motor. No HP mods, but my lightweight wheels and flywheel have made it feel comparable to the HR Z's that I have driven on the track.
However, hopping out of my Z and into the Nismo 370Z, the extra power is immediately noticeable and substantial.
If I owned one, better tires would probably be my only mod. (Very slight chance that I would put in some adjustable Koni's.)

FI's exhaust adds like 18 hp to the wheels, pre tune--you'll be laying down more than the Nismo does with just that.
Sport Package Car + the following from Nissan (~$DIY):
Nismo Stab Bar, Spring and Shock kit (~$1700)
Nismo Exhaust (~$1200)
Nismo Wheels (plus larger rear tires) (~$3500)
Performance dampers from parts department (~$1000)
Nismo CPU ($?)
And you have a car like a Nismo but without the Aero Kit etc. and you have probably spent more money - especially if you don't DIY and pay labor.

I'm running Nismo shocks/springs and Nismo 370Z wheels on my Sport/Touring. No other Nismo parts though. I've also got Stillen sway bars, custom intakes and a Borla exhaust for performance. The front lip is JP Vizage and the rear diffuser is from EVO-R.

In most magazine test the regular 370z has better 1/4 mile times than the nismo 370z because of its added weight and the body kit adds more downforce on the car. Where you see the nismo version excel is on the track.
