Default Selling my 08 R32, buying a 370Z

Well its been a long road to get here. I had an 03 350Z touring which i traded in to get a 2008 R32 (sigh, in retrospect a bad move done for practicality). Also done bc i was angry with Nissan over the 350Z tire feathering issue and their lack of care to fix it. Not that the R32 is a bad car or anything in fact its a very good one, just not for me. But after everything Im coming back to the Nissan family. My question to all of you 370Z owners is; should I be aware of anything wrong with the new Z? For instance tire feathering! Or any other common/constant issues. I have not read of anything like that but i know its best to find our directly from the source(Z owners) . Also your overall opinion of the car after driving it for months would help out some too considering a test drive doesnt really tell you how youll feel months later. A lesson I learned first hand with the VW lol. Thanks in advance guys!

You can't even get an RS4 Avant in the U.S. so why bother even mentioning it?

They aren't all that low but certainly not in the price range with the rs4 or c63 Amg. The e92 m3 is outrageously priced for maintenance as are all bmws. My 350z I bought used it wasn't terribly High in price I got a good deal same with the r32 this time im looking to buy a new car. If the only problem with the new z is oil Cooling I'll gladly pay for an oil cooler and call it a day ya kno?

Put two pennies in your trunk springs... problem solved... or go to the dealer for the tsb...

not sure if thats what you meant by 2500 pennies but for 4 cents you can have it fixed... mine has never stuck once since putting the pennies in.

The TSB has them install a longer spring ( black rubbery thing that screws out in the middle of your hatch on the side. )

tire feathering made you get rid of a sports car? i blast through tires so fast you'd
cry. i'm surprised that's what made you get a nifty hatchback. the 370z is uglier and
has its own nuances.

i bet if the 370z came out first people would have hated it and then they would of thought the 350z body style was a big improvement and people would have rushed to buy it my.02

To me, both body styles are very nice. Neither is ugly to me and both cars stand out on the road in a good way. Both will get compliments from guys and girls of all ages...

The 370z did come out after and does have its sense of refinement... There is plenty of people who still think the 300zx was the nicest Z, which also has a very nice design, But when you look at the interior and suspension you start seeing the refinement or where the newer cars show they are newer " improved " versions.. While many would argue both of these motors are a step back from the 300zx but in reality they are NA motors in stock form putting down the power a v6 TT did. While the aftermarket parts allowed the 300 to be faster, each Z has progressed in stock form in terms of power and speed.

The 350z interior is not the worst but it is definatly not as refined or " nice " as the 370z's interior... The 370z pulls better times around tracks when almost any magazine or driver tests it, its quicker down the 1/4 mile track too. There is an improvement, its not a step backwards...

Personaly tastes vary and everyone is entitled to their own views and thats why we all have the choice to buy whatever car we want.

Is the 370z worth trading in your 350z HR for ? When it comes with losing 10,000 , IMO no way, but is the 370z a better car, yes.

Zs are a classic car in sports car history and from my experiences there are a ton of 350z guys who just hate on the 370z.

I am a fan of all Z's ... Just recently I was coming home from the store when an older man prob mid 60s was in a convertible 350z, prob 05ish ... He followed me home just to ask me about my car.. Im 27 he is more than twice my age and was telling me how he has owned almost every Z and he is not sure if its smart for him at his age to buy the new Z .. But was in love with my car, followed me to my house got out , sat in it, and asked for a ride in it... He was telling me all about his Zs of the past and just generally loved the car for its heritage... that seems to be missing now a days.. its not a competition its about the love of cars for me, and I am def a fan of nissan and its Zs.

I hope that kind of thing isnt lost...
