Default Lightning lap re run

Well, thinking and reading previous lightning laps I came across the second lightning lap which featured the then new M3. They ran the car around the track and ran some pretty good lap times. However, the BMW had some transmission issues but still ran close to last years lightning lap time. I think it was less than .5 secs. They did a second run in a different M3.

When will we see another 370Z run with the nismo pads? Anyone have any insider info?

I only ask because the 370Z deserves the right to be reran. If you look for instance at top gear. The 370z is faster than what shows on the lightning lap compared to say the Camaro ss. I understand it's a totally different track but they are similar in design. Majority fast sections and a couple tight sections. Why is it only .5 secs faster than the 06 350Z with similiar braking power and a lot more power?

The Camaro SS isn't a slowpoke, especially at a power track like VIR.
