poor rear
It looks a little better but still not as good as the 350Z.
I think the main thing I don't like about the 370's design is the rear. It looks like a dog taking a poop as Jeremy Clarkson said about the Chyrsler Crossfire.
The 350Z's rear, after the rear window, plateu'd out and then went back down and it looked great.

has a lip built in.Also from the pic,the bumper protrudes out a bit similar to some of the concept drawings.Of course, you cannot get a true feel for the car until you see one in person.I think it will look longer.Somehow those LEDS
in front just do not blend into the design...seem like a afterthought.
If you look back at Nissan's track record of "refreshing" models it has been a hit or miss.
I'll keep my 350

All the comments about FI in the 370,yeah...I wish.Following Nissan's tradition of trying to be cutting edge with the Z,especially with the competition getting stronger,I would
not be surprised if the TRUE NEW Z would offer a hybrid feature.I really don't see this
as auxillary power but a "booster" must the same as Jaguar has in their C-X16 driveable
concept.A button on the steering wheel gives an immediate/no lag shot of power.
Instant ???HP added.Nothing would have to be done to the internals of the V-6.
As with hybrids, battery weight is a critical factor.I'd think the battery size would be
minimized in a boost&charge system.

New wheels looks worse than current sports model.
New bumper looks great but LED strips are tacky.
Everything else is stock? No thanks.
Buy a used 370z and just buy the new front bumper = saved money for power boost.

I'm thinking direct injected, turbo'd, and torque vectoring all wheel drive....similar to the juke, (which has a low 20's price tag) only with larger displacement in the 3.0 liter range and you have the next Z .
Why drop from 3.7+ down to 3.0? looming CAFE standards. the days of just upping displacment when power is needed are over..... The addition of direct injection with FI would be enough to get back in the fight and AWD would make it shine, like a mini GTR.
You could offer two pricepoints and have a RWD for the "want to be on edge, hang the tail out sorts" and the awd for the "anybody can be fast and consistant" folks.
I'm also in agreeance with the above comment about slating a Z variant in the 50-60k range where the Vettes and newly FI'd Stangs, and Camaros play..... only do it at 46k

seriously?
meh... I like the new front bumper without those fangs.
LED reflectors ???? really???
The new wheels are hideous
everything else is pretty much the same.
Why no power boost!?!?

At second thought, they don't look too bad
grille opening.Until I see the car in person, its hard to tell how it really looks.
All in all,the front is greatly improved.
Theres gonna be some markdowns on aftermarket lips and CF add ons for the old bumper. Not gonna fit the new design.

Definitely an improvement over the current body style. It does look like they are going back a bit to the 350z style, which is a good thing in my book. Truth be told, I didn't like the 370z when it came out, but it has been slowly growing on me, especially due to the mods some these members have done. I'll probably keep my 350 though, until there is another major overhaul.

The only thing I envy about the 370Z is the fact that you can add more boost to it and not worry as much as you do with the stock VQ35DE which is what I have.
If Nissan comes out with a boosted Z, I might consider selling my beloved 350Z for it. The only thing you have to worry about is Skyline sales falling or faltering with people going for a turbo Z instead. They would have to price it carefully.
Furthermore, it would be awesome for a factory boosted Z to be in Cali because a cop could pull you over and he would have no idea if you've tinkered with the system to create more output.
