I don't understand no boost in power either.

Hyundai has taken their Genesis Coupe and upped the V6 output to 344hp and the Turbo 4cyl to 274 (from 201). Both of these models have some serious ***** now and your telling me Nissan shrugged this off? Step up Nissan and squeeze some more out of that 3.7!

Also its sad that Nissan has no turbo models other than the GTR (which the common consumer cant afford) when a company like Hyundai has 2. Velostar Turbo and the Gen Coupe Turbo.

Fang removal was the least expensive change to make. Changing the wacky lights would mean changing the adjacent body panels and a perhaps some retooling. I think Nissan made changes with the least expensive impact for financial reasons (can't blame them for that). As to performance, I don't think there will be anything significant with this platform until the next generation is produced. We just need to be patient and hold on a bit longer.

Bottom line...wait for the next generation Z a few more years down the road.

Nissan took a step back with this refresh and made the front look more like a 350Z. Glad I got my 2012 before this new garbage front comes out.

They mustve done this to boost sales of the 2012. Coming from a previous 350Z owner, and now a 370Z owner, the fangs do grow on you. They are part of the cars character. The redesign completely fked the car up IMO. Two steps backward.

fangs have always been a defining characteristic of that car - love 'em or hate 'em. i personally have always liked them.

I keep waiting for Nissan to give me a good reason to upgrade from my 2003 350z... at this point I'm more tempted to go back to the Twin Turbo 300's of my college days.

Never should have sold the ones I had.....

fwiw, I like the 370, just needs more ***** in todays environment... heres to waiting out one more Z iteration. Hopefully its worth it.

Exactly. If the next Z isn't competitive with the similarly priced domestics, my next car will definitely be German.

I always thought the fangs looked cool. And didn't they put them there to help separate airflow to the brakes? Now the car looks like my 350Z.

That being said, I want a complete redesign/next gen design with factory boost and direct injection.
Haven't you seen all of the problems with direct injection? No thanks. Not until all of the carbon buildup issues have been solved.

Suprise suprise? Its about what I thought. Slap a new piece of plastic on front and call it updated.
