2013 370z refresh.... confirmed no horspower bump, but looks good.
far from a hit is right. why it was far from a hit... lot's of factors at play there. obviously the biggest factor is the economy - not many people are in the market for a 35-40k 2 seater sports car (that gets avg gas mileage).
Well whether you like the changes or not, Nissan needs to sell more than 7000 zs a year I would think. With numbers like those I think the viability of another Z would be in question.
Can somebody, anybody photoshop it in Midnight Blue? - I can't find pics of it anywhere.
I'm willing to but that "Midnight Blue" is the return of "San Marino Blue" - The BW5 Paint Code was all over the Infiniti lineup and it was called "Midnight Blue"..."San Marino Blue" keeps it in line with the Racetrack Theme all the 350Z colors had.

But people are in the market for a $40k + Vette? Your post makes no sense whatsoever.
+1... Not to mention the Mustang GT, Camaro SS, Genesis Coupe(V6) and Challanger R/T are all in the same price/category... They're not having ANY problems selling those cars mentioned. Nissan didn't do a great job with the 370 like they did with the 350 and now the competition just blew by them.
The redesign does look like it took a step back and really would fit in the middle of the evolution between the 350z and 370z. I like the redesign better, tired of the "lets shove the most agressive styling we can down their throats" cars as of late.
A vette is a 2 seater sports car like the 370Z that's more expensive. So if the excuse that the 370Z did not sell well because of a bad economy why did it get outsold by the Vette last year?

So the corvettes sales are up, compared to say, 2003-2008?
it didnt sell well prolly because of the ehhh looks and lack of hp (compared to competition)

ummm yea, this....^^^. Why spend $30K+ on a car when i can spend $30K on a better car? Nissan was left behind. Its not 2003 any longer.
After scanning many of the posts here I think Nissan is definitely at a point where they need to take some aggressive (and informed) action for the Z to survive. Hopefully they have already seen the writing on the wall regarding the 370 and are just doing damage control until the next generation is released. There are other brands/models out or soon to be out with around 400 HP at the same price point as the 370. Those cars also look fairly decent to be fair (but most look like basic sedans to also be fair). The main point is Nissan has to get on the stick and come out with another genuinely new and awesome Z that will attract people from all markets. The 370 just ain't making it. Period.
So Nissan sold more 350z's in the first year, than the 370z did in the last three years combined?
And +1 on seeing plenty of 'Vettes, and 400 hp Mustang/ Camaro variants around.
Economy my @ss.
