Corvette Delivery Statistics for January 2012
629 Units -12.8%
This is one of the lowest delivery months on record for Corvette. Two seat sports cars are not popular right now. Especially gas hogs.

So not sure why people think becuase Chevy sells a couple thousand more vettes than 370Z that that says anything relevant? Other than trend of Corvette out selling Z is contnuing. No suprise to me even if Nissan made the Z better it likely wouldnt outsell the Vette in the US.

So thats news? Corvette has out sold Z cars both 350Z and 370Z for over a decade with exception of the 350Z relaunch in 2003 where Z barely outsold the vette by a couple hundered units. That was likely due to pent up demand as Z car left the market for years before 350 came back. Vette is an American Icon car. Z has held pretty steady in percent of sales to Vette for over 10 years.

LOL! Worst selling car in Canada? ....Really? Lets talk something relevant! Like sales in a real market such as the good ole US of A. And lets compare it to other sports cars.
Z outsold the Porsche Boxster and Cayman combined in 2011, It out sold the Porsche 911 too! It out sold Mazda RX8, It even out sold the car rated as best sports car buy by many publications the Mazda MX5. It out sold Mitsubishi Eclipse and the Mitsubishi EVO.
The car in the current economy is doing quite well compared to other sports cars!
Bottomline 370Z is a two seat sports car and all 2 seater sports cars are seeing huge fall in sales. Its the economic times not the design or inherint value of the 370 Z that is causing sales slump.
Here's some data for you. Hey it even includes Canada! Search to your hearts content! You will find Z had better sales than every sports car aside from the Corvette. At least try to base your argument in facts.

Agreed, mustangs and camaros may have never been in the engineers sights when they brought the z back... but the performance at this price point has changed dramatically and where Nissan had no competition in 2003, they are now losing massive footing.... because those cars are getting cross shopped along with Hyundai at the bottom of the range and at the top tier price point, the base vette.
As an owner of 4 z cars... I'm keeping the faith they get with it for the next z. Chevrolet has already stated they are planning to attract younger buyers with the next vette. New CAFE standards most likely means smaller displacement/forced induction. I'm hoping the juke is more of an experiment for Nissan to get back into FI, include the torque vector add, and direct injection, giving us a strong platform to play with.

While there is a slight upgrade from the 350z, many felt it was not worth the upgrade and many in the market for a sports went with the competition.
.yes it's relevant.
. The Eclipse did not outsell the Z for 2011. Looks like someone needs to get their facts straight. Also, look at the 370z's YTD% change at -28.3 and it's worse than the majority of sports cars.
American sports cars completely killed the Z in 2011.
.Really? Then why did the Audi TT have a +238% change? Obviously the economy is not hurting Audi's sales.
thanks I'm well aware of that site and all my points are based on facts.

Uh Audi TT doing well? LOL! Check your facts. 2236 TT's sold in US in 2011 thats nearly a 1/3 of US 370Z sales. Looks like a big fail for Audi!

American Sports cars? I'm only aware of 2 two seater Sports cars made by big US manufaturers Viper and Corvette. Afraid 370Z wiped Viper off the map last year!
Hard to compare Z which is a true sports car to a much bigger Mustang , Charger or Camaro to true sports cars. Those cars really arent sports cars and they make tons for rental fleets that get numbers up as well. US Mustang, Camaro and Charger are more like Altima or Maxima. Altima crushed those cars.
As far as Eclipse goes 370Z has outsold it to general public. Mitsubishi sold a bunch cars of to rental fleets last year to keep there numbers propped up. You wont find many 370Z's in rental fleets! LOL!
Nope to me looks like every other 2 seat sports car is failing compared to the 370Z?
And sorry Canada isnt a relevant market for sports cars. Hmm wonder why TT is so popular there? A total of 450 cars in 2011. LOL! Surely nothing to do with AWD.
Here's more data for you. I forgot 370Z out sold BMW Z4 and the new Mini two seater Coupe first month of 2012 too!

370Z for me and many others is car that 350Z should have been. 350Z was OK but never had HP or handling that I expected. It was perfect car for my wife. 370Z has delivered on all fronts for many of us.

Lol! That's a losing argument. TT has seen steady decline from around 10,000 units down to flat line of around 1500 then they shoved 5 cylinder turbo in the car and boosted sales by several hundred? Hardly a success story! If i follow your logic if I sell one car in 2010 and sell 2 next year I have experienced incredible 100% increase and had an incredible success.
