Hmm, have you driven the new 5.0's? I'd say they are pretty sporty when compared to the Z.

yes, i am well aware of what the new mustangs are capable of.

i still don't consider it a sportscar. they may be able to do more than just drive in a straight line now, but mustangs are muscle cars. always will be.

with that said, when i get tired of driving my 370, i will probably look into a 2013+ gt500. i'm thoroughly enjoying my Z though, so it will be awhile

In case you were curious about "Midnight Blue" - It's more of a Dark Royal Blue, Not a Navy Blue like San Marino Blue.

Wow, midnight blue is a fantastic color. I might have to take a trip to the dealership to have a look at one in person.

To those fighting about how bad the Z is doing in relation to sales, let's not forget where we are. We're in America. Home of NASCAR and drag racing. You guys forget that we are all on this forum because we are 350z ENTHUSIASTS, if not just CAR ENTHUSIASTS in general. The average American just wants to see big numbers for a smaller price. Try to think about this NOT as a Nissan enthusiast or a car enthusiast, and think about it as an average consumer.

Nissan 370z, a Japanese 2 seater: V6 with 332 hp, starts at $31,000~
Ford Mustang, iconic American muscle car: V6 with 305 hp, starts at $22,000~; V8 with 402hp starts at $30,000
Chevy Camaro, iconic American muscle car: V6 with 323 hp, starts at $23,000~.

The average American wants the most for the least, and lets not forget how popular drag racing is here in the good ole USA. Hell, if I didn't know anything about cars I'd want the Mustang GT. Look at that, 402 horsepower for $30,000 and it has 4 seats and the same fuel economy as the 370z. Not to mention now that Ford and Chevy have started using actual suspension, they aren't that laughable in the corners anymore. Not rocket science as to why they're outselling the Z ridiculously.

P.S. I like the removal of the fangs for 2013, not sure about the LED running lights though. No power bump is stupid, that midnight blue is as sexy as Mila Kunis and Keira Knightley in a shower. Together. Mmmmmm.

True this!!! I talked to an employee in one of the biggest Dodge dealership in Houston, he told me they don't have it in their lot.

As for 370z, I like it, but I would not want to trade it in for a car that isn't like an upgrade from a C5 to a C6. On top of that, I love having no payments for couple years, but the new blue color is attractive and those front LED lights, hmmm.......

^ Who's arguing with that?

I think you clearly pointed out why people are "fighting how bad the z is doing".
It's simple: Many express they don't like the aesthetics, and the performance (in relation to what's available NOW) doesn't outweigh the design.

It's better than the 350z in every way? Well no sh*t...it better be.

edit: my bad Deed, didn't realize what side of the coin you were on. Back to our scheduled programming...

The reflector doesn't bother me much, but I don't know if I'll change my mind once I see it in person.

I'm glad they removed the fangs too

Personally, I LOVE... TOTALLY LOVE everything about this new 2013 ... and for those of you who cry about the "no power gain" think of your 2003-2004 models.. few things were fixed but how much power gain did the 2004 have over the 2003? or the 2004-2005? The real power changes that i can remember happened at 2007 model and up.. and then 2009 370z had some power gain over the 2003-2009 350Z's.

Just cause its a NEW year model, doesnt mean they HAVE to give you a power boost, GHeezz. its only 1 year newer from the 2012 model.. BUT i do expect the 2014 or the 2015 to have a Major power boost, I did read about the Turbo charged 370z 2013 in Japan to be released before this year??? :O :O anyone else read anything about it? cant remember where I found the article... hope they are for real though.

I actually like the front end. If you put Gold and White LED is the front reflector locations and have them wired seperately that would be nice.

Thinking about when the stone chips get to be too much that I might want to install this front nose and modify it slightly to my taste. Could be really nice and it will save me trading in my 2011 for a 2013 or 2014 etc... However, if a 2014 model comes out with a power bump I'll trade up to that.... I'm already thinking about a New Nismo if they offer 0% 60mos on it.

Have not owned a Z since 2006 , but did test drive a few months ago a 2011 Z with the sport package, along with a new Challenger SRT8, and a 5.0 Mustang.

Overall the Z seemed to be the most balanced of the three in power and handling.

Did Nissan ever address the oil temp issues with the newer 2012 or 2013 Nismo models?

Wouldn't mind having one of those, but that wing seems say "boy racer" , "ricer".

The rear bumper/molding area around the exhaust seems to have been an after thought. It should look somthing more like this with a better integration of the aero splitter.
