Actually Corvettes are blowing their rear-ends a lot by draging the cars.

I'm sure he was on slicks too

But any car is vulnerable from abuse, that was my main point hehe. I mean... Sound Performance's Z blew their diff a the track too but how many times have we heard that happen

I used to see his Z06 pass by my house every now and then, sounds awesome.

I understand why everyone likes to compare the Z06 and ZR1 to the GTR but there's still the fact that the GTR has a back seat, a usable trunk, and (correct me if im wrong) but is more comfortable with the adjustable suspension. So the GTR is better for everyday use, while the Z06 or ZR1 are better for track use.

The problem is not that the GTR has a "high-tech automatic transmission," its that it has 4 wheel drive. Vettes with true manual transmisions use the rear wheels as a fuse.

Z06/ZR-1: No Back seat
GT-R: Back seats which are quite comfortable for children and midgets

Z06/ZR1: 22.4ft of trunk space
GT-R: 8.8ft of trunk space

Have you ever driven a C6Z, ZR-1 or GT-R to comment on daily drivability comfort?

At least know what you are talking about before offering an opinion on a subject.

The ZR1 is also more expensive (given you can get a GTR for the new MSRP) by nearly $20,000. That said, I'm pretty neutral...I can't afford either and they are both great cars.

Why compare? There won't even be a Corvette or Camaro much longer anyways if GM goes under by the end of the year. So kiss the ZR1 goodbye.

The news just talked about Toyota and Nissan getting ready to up their production because of GM going under. It was actually kinda interesting.

Agreed. At least he would be correct in that regards. Although, I would never drive a GT-R in the snow, if I owned one.

You sure? I recall racing that guy at my track the day he ran the 11.6 and him telling me he was using LC. When I talked briefly with the driver and asked about his 12 second run, he said he wasn't using LC on that run but was using LC to run the 11.6-11.8 runs I also asked about.

No offense, but do you ever have anything positive to say about any of the imports?

I've seen multiple ZO6s spill fluid everywhere at my track. All cars are prone to damages when you drag race, especially if you're on sticky *** tires.

The Z06 as in the car that the roofs were coming off at speed? And the the same car that when EVO magazine tested for their car of the year the brake rotors cracked?

haha, true, if you are tall enough to have to put your seat back that much, the back seat isn't the greatest.

In terms of the trunks/ trunk space, I just like the fact that the GTR has a trunk.

I have not driven any corvettes, I've have only seen them, sat in them, and checked them out, but I was fortunate enough to have driven and ride in a GTR and took it on a mountain pass and at the end of the whole thing I felt very relaxed and not as tense as some other cars (not really super cars, but highly tuned Z's and or misc cars).

And true, I don't know everything Im talking about but I thought I might get my original opinion in. If I'm wrong somewhere, I'm more than happy to learn and move on with the knowledge.

The guy that drive this time around WAS the owner. Cliff had already made his post about it on NAGTROC and said that R mode was on for all three which isn't LC. His 60' was damn near identical to Matt's without LC.

I'll try to find out what the switches were on when Micah drove
