Default Nissan GTR Rental

So one of my buddies owns an exotic car rental company and wanted to get some market feedback.

How much would you pay to rent a GTR for the weekend?
How much would you pay to rent a GTR for the day?

How many miles would you expect to be allowed to drive the GTR for at the price you mentioned.

Just so people have something to base their price off of, an F430 is about $1300 for the day and a GT3 is $900 for a day.

This would be for the NJ, NYC, CT. Thanks for the help.

Dan

same as the GT3 I guess...

I've seen what guys do to the rentals in Hawaii...

short story guy rented a viper and was riding 2nd gear like it was built that way...

unless you guys got a term policy pointing out the do's & don'ts

you would have to find a way to keep launch control from being used or just buy an 2010 model with no launch control

I did the world class driving -5 exotics for the day for $1300. Only 2 cars were worht driving. I'd pay 500 for the GT-R. It is no doubt worht about 900 but no way can I afford that much. $500 would bea good price point for the east coast

I think you should charge the MSRP of the GTR for someone to rent it for a day because you know they are going to be driving the crap and launching the crap out of that car. Chances are the car won't make it past day 1.

They go for about 5000DHS, which is like 1350USD perday...

With no limitations on mileage and ****...

GTR is cheap enough that i dont see why people would want to rent a nissan......
People rent Corvettes, which are even cheaper. If you can't afford one, why not rent one for the weekend?

Does the price cover for engine and trans breaks down? I'm willing to pay up to $1K a day. Miles? It's depends what time the track will be opened or closed. No, I'm not paying to cruise it around the block. I'm going to bang out the hell of it all until the last minute and we know that.

Real simple, disable the ability to engage launch control.. It would be about a 30 minute job to modify the switch to achieve this.

I would never rent an exotic car, so my answer is the same $39/day I pay at Avis for a full size car.

Thanks for all the insight guys. I think he is buying a 2010..I totally forgot to mention the launch control issue to him. The GTR is going to be less than the GT3 especially if it gets rented a lot.

The GTR averages about $73K while the Porsche GT3 averages about $110,000.

Given that the Porsche pulls in about $900 a day... and the GTR is 66.36% of the price, i'd expect to pay:

$597.24.

However, the GTR will probably be cheaper to maintain than a Porsche (transmission issue aside) and also, will be rented more often given its lower price point but almost Porsche-like performance...

Therefore, realistically, $500 and Launch Control should be disabled. Miles should be same as whatever the GT3 is allowed.

How is $1300 calculated for the F430?

Use the same equation for the GTR and maybe subtract 10-15% since it's not an 'exotic'.

Can I use my Frequent rental points and upgrade to the GTR ?

I wouldn't pay more than $ 500 bucks for the weekend. Although its a nice car, I would classify it with the Z06.

Anybody know how much a Z06 rents for ?
