By the way, those two cars are production cars.
No current production supercar can win on a drag race with an electric car. And on a tight road course they have no chance either. Why you ask? Simple elctric engine =flat torque line. The only thing that limits these cars are the battery life and the fact that they are not very practical at the moment. But hey, 80 years ago or so the mass produced V8 engine was only making 98hp @ 5Lt of displacement (if that). Nowadays, A 1.5 lt Honda makes more power than that, get where I am going with this? Sure, there is nothing like the roar of a 8/10/12 cylinders, but electric cars are some mean machines, with time they will become better, more practical, and demand will increase for them.

And to get back on topic, GTR? Sure, beautiful machine, performs awesome etc. But, like it was said before maintenance will kill you. Most parts, are only available through Nissan, and that is expensive even if you drive a Versa, let alone their flagship car. My opinion, go with a z06, parts are very cheap (when compared to any other supercar) and the potential of this car is outstanding. Not to mention it puts many supercars that cost three times more to shame.

z06 is a great car
but if given the opportunity would take the GT-R over the z06.
Maintenance also is not that bad I've read threads on NAGTROC and its just the brakes that are some what expensive. Also many members on NAGTROC change their own fluids/do their own brakes to bring down the cost.

If the GTR ever descends into the realm of people who buy G35s/Zs now at 1/3 or less of their MSRP, well that will be sad. The crowd went from relatively well off car enthusiasts and young professionals buying a solid sports car/luxury cruiser to a bunch of kids who finally have 15k to throw away and do so in terrible fashion with awful body kits and terrible knockoff wheels etc etc.
Bascially in a few years the Z/G will descend into the same league as a high school kid's Civic TYPERRRRRR, if it isn't there already.
Now if this the same demographic tracjectory a beautifully engineered 500hp+ supercar takes...well, that'll be tragic. I guess I'll skip it and move on to things more exclusive.

the 2012 gtr will equal or beat both the cars you mentioned in a drag race. corners, dunno, but to say flat out no super car will beat it is not true. there is a car under 100k that will. also that is a full production car, as far as I know this electric car is a one off with plans to later make a production model.
GT-R for $26k. If you are willing to go back to the 90's

Yeah, I think GT-R’s are going the way of the TT Supra and NSX, thanks to their limited availability and performance.
Yea I don't think repairs are going to get any cheaper so it's going to stay in the price range for a while.

With the advancements of the 11s, 12s, 13s and from what I hear the 14's, 09s and 10s will be the "cheap ones" in a bit. Like how 03/04 Z33's (pre 04.5) are now the "Cheap Ones" - Also I'm sure the R36 in '15 or '16 will help drop those Zenki R35 Prices quite a bit.
I can see them in the High 20's, Low 30's before the decade is out.
