Mrev+ with modified upper plenum, such as crawford or aps on 287

I'm sure there will be many people independantly dynoing it on their car and posting the results. I'll archive them over time.

i bet the spacer and mrev would have similar gains to the aftermarket plenum...but it would be nice if someone did have a modified upper plenum just to see what is possible
Hi Guys.
Just dropping a note to vouch for Tony at Motordyne. It was my 2005 '287' car we did the testing on. Prior to plenum mods, the car only had NISMO headers and the NISMO exhaust and a CAI. As you can see from the dyno graphs the gains are rather significant with both the new lower plenum and the 5/16 spacer.
The replacement of the CAI with the stock intake, plus the plenum and spacer mods neted me over 30whp. The car now pulls like a freight train with a tidal wave of torque throughout the power band. The best part about the plenum mods (5/16" spacer) is that it is totally inconspicuous. The engine bay looks stock and the OE strut bar is retained. There is no rubbing. The kit itself is really top notch. All the hardware for both the taller plenum and raised strut bar is included, in addition new gaskets are also included. Try going to the hardware store and finding the right bolts, could be a challenge.
All in all, it's an easy, high quality mod worth doing. Any questions...let me know.
John

Copy his hard work? Hardly.
I got lost a few pages ago in this thread, hah ^_^
So like stupid question - if I have a 2003.5 G35 5AT with a 1/2'' MD iso thermal spacer right now (and a bunch of other **** like headers, hfc, etc..), adding in an MREV++ will do me good?
I'm getting confused between the + and ++ and the fact there's no talk about what happens on the 1/2'' spacer....

Some will be huge. Bolt it onto a Z, a Mustang, STI or Ferrari and it will function the same way. If it works on my car it will work on any car. I already dyno tested some with very good results.

with the input of motordyne there is obviously more there than meets the eye...but what if that can be improved upon?
nothing wrong with trying and how can he be copying if he does not know what exactly motordyne did on the mrev?
as a diy man myself, and the topic of mrev, i believe this has merit in the discussion
i am not trying to discredit tony or motordyne in any way. i am a potential customer of the mrev so i am interested in what makes the power.
i will probably end up buying the mrev even if i only gain a couple more hp because i already have the crawford upper plenum.

And only Non Rev Up engine owners get to do the core exchange so that will save you a couple hundred dollars.
