MREV+ Dyno Tested On The 287 HP Engine!
OK so for those of us with aftermarket plenums already -- we would need just the new lower plenum for a net cost of $122 (no gaskets or wtvr)?
Any chance we can get a dyno done of a crawford/kenetix plenum with this mod?

yes it will work. The spacer basically acts like a plenum.
Gains is undetermined, until someone actually dynos, but you can expect similar results to the one with the spacers.

Tomorrow is HORRIBLE for me, sorry... seriously folks if Tony's busy on the weekend then it's gonna have to be this coming Monday. If I can get an appointment for Monday, I promise to show up

I am curious as to the materials used for your spacers. Wouldn't a composite material like phenolic resin work great for a spacer? Or how about PEEK (polyetheretherketone). These plastics should have thermal insolation properties superior to aluminum with isolating gaskets. However, they might be more costly than aluminum. Your thoughts?

O.K. I bought an '03 lower plenum section from a forum member, I got it today. I am going to try machining my own MREV + conversion in my home machine shop. This my turn out to be a big mistake, or a lot of fun. So far I've just been doing some measurements. I've already discovered several features that I didn't expect. Obviously, this isn't a project for everyone. I will keep you guys informed of how things progress.

The plenum spacers now come with Iso Thermal gaskets applied directly to the spacer. ...So the the spacer itself is what you describe.
BTW Right after the track event, I am scheduled to run an independant dyno on Tuesday @ 9:30 (with a very interesting corporation that owns their own dyno). Everyone here knows this company very well.

Results will be posted soon after.
Right now, all my email adresses and PM's are completely clogged and I won't have time to answer all of them before leaving town. But you will all get to see the first independant dyno probably around tuesday night.
And Wired 24/7 still gets to do his too!

Gotta scram guys. Need to get up very early tomorrow. I have R&D to do at the track.
