BTW Right after the track event, I am scheduled to run an independant dyno on Tuesday @ 9:30 (with a very interesting corporation that owns their own dyno). Everyone here knows this company very well.

Results will be posted soon after.

Right now, all my email adresses and PM's are completely clogged and I won't have time to answer all of them before leaving town. But you will all get to see the first independant dyno probably around tuesday night.

And Wired 24/7 still gets to do his too!

Gotta scram guys. Need to get up very early tomorrow. I have R&D to do at the track.

Tony
Oh cmon, dont beat around the bush. You told the G35 guys at g35driver.com you might as well tell the guys at my350z.com.

It's Corporate Headquarters of Nissan of North America!!!!

You should also dyno the mrev++ and the 5/16 spacer together to really blow the socks off of Nissan Corporate.

As for a name change, that is a good point. I may even have to reconfigure the MREV as a kit to keep things simplified. (The website is already complicated with too many options) Lots of variations has its good points but it also confuses many.

I may just make the Iso Thermal MREV++ a machined lower collector without a spacer. This way it will be a universal modification that can be bolted on to any 287 or 300 HP engine. --->Adding a spacer to it will make even more power.

At least it will reduce the number of MREV variations from 4 to 2. Now it will simply be Iso Thermal & Copper Iso Thermal. Adding a spacer can be done independantly and won't necessarily be tied to it in a kit. It sure will simplify things for both manufacturing and the purchasing consumer.

What do you guys think?...
Im confused. SO have you updated the website? Is the new $147 dollar price of the MREV Plus actually the MREV ++? Or is it still the same old MREV+ with a higher price tag??

I'm sure he'll sort out all the pricing Q's when he gets back from Nissan Headquarters.

Must be nice to have your engineering prowess sought out and validated by a major vehicle manufacturer!

What was the difference in HP between MREV+ and MREV++? Hydra's pic isn't working and the numerical differences weren't listed.

Yeah, didn't he just say a few days ago that the price would stay the same for a while, THEN go up?

Tony - when do you have time to do this?

-Mike

PS Saturday Sunday or Monday is still the best time for me. Preferably weekend.

i'm interested in buying the MREV+ kit. If i have the 06 REVUP motor should i opt for JUST the MREV++ or MREV+ AND the MREV++ kit? i went to their website and it lists MREV++ as an upgrade for the MREV+. But after reading all these stuff, i'm a little confused. Of course i'm going to whatever gives the best performance increase

Track was a ton of fun. Really got to rip it up.

Also got a lot of good data while at the track.

Default Makin' my own Mrev+ (or minus?) See pictures

O.K. got the lower plenum mounted on the milling table and I'm ready to rip. It's interesting to note that the "roof" of each port is of a different thickness. The front ports are about .60", middle around .70 and the rear port is almost .75" (3/4 inch). They are very thick and provide lots of room for modification. I expect to mill off between .125 to .250. My only puzzle is why the authentic Mrev + leaves the edges created by the milling sharp. It seems that it would promote flow it these edges were rounded, as the original radius. Do the engineers have any comments or advice?

I will post more photos after the work is done.

so what is it exactly that you are trying to accomplish?

are you going for more air flow, and if so how are you going to test the differences in the air flow?
