Dirt line on roadster cover?
After cleaning the roadster and wiping it down, when the top is down I have notice a line of dirt where the cover and the surface meet do you guys wipe it down or wash it?
I'm sorry, I did not mean the soft top. Let me try to describe it again when the soft top is inside the cargo area, the body panel is the one that gets dirty. It shows a lining of where the soft top and the body panel meet, is that being specific if not please help me describe it? thanks!
There should be a clear tape on the body panel where it meets the soft top. I normally wipe it down along with the rest of the body panels under the soft top with a wet cloth. Dry it with soft cloth, then close the top to wash the rest of the car. This area usually does not get too dirty, just dust.
+1 for wipe it
I usually wash and dry the car first. Then I open the top partially to clean that strip area where the top meets the body. Then I open it further to clean the area under the toneau cover that traps water and stuff as well as the foot rails and door jam areas. Then shut everything, wipe up the water drippings then take her out for an air dry.

Does anybody else have the problem that they spend a long time making their car nice and water-spotless...then when you get in and close the door water drains out of the side mirror? This really bugs me.
Regarding water dripping out of mirrors and other crevices: using my thumb and a finger, I grab the tip of the hose to a wet/dry vacumn so that the hose doesn't make contact with the Z, then suck out the "hidden" excess water (light lenses, lug nut wells, etc).
How about a cordless blower? They're smaller than the plug in type and blow a little less air. Just don't use it as a vacuum cleaner first (the one I have has that option.) Trigger switch allows you to blow short bursts of air rather than having it blow everything around all the time, like some of the plug in ones.
My brother uses his plug in one to dry off his entire Xterra. It blows a lot of air, as I'm sure you know, but is really noisy too and a lot bigger than my cordless one.
