Default how hard is it to install new springs on ZR?

Hi,

I'm considering lowering my ZR. How difficult is to replace the stock springs with an aftermarket set? In order to replace the springs, do you have to remove the plastic panels inside of the trunk, or are the springs completely accessible from under the vehicle?

Thank you...

Same as on the coupe i would think. The rears are very easy take off the wheels, remove the bolt that hold the control arm that the spring sits in and then push it down and pull out the spring and slide the new one in. The fronts are difficult, just a longer process. YOu have to take the wheels off and basically remove the strut assembly. There are some install instructions on here somewhere. Try searching the forums for them. Everything is accessible from outside except the bolts you have to remove on top of the strut assembly which is under the hood of the car. I had never done it before and i didn't have the install directions and it took me a few hours. It is very helpful to have another person to help.

sure thing. Good luck. Oh, you can also get spring compressors at like autozone or a place like that, usually you just put down a deposit (like $40) and then bring it back when you are done and get your money back. They will be helpful on the front springs
