Just wait... Mine didn't visably show up until about 10,000 miles. I just replaced all 4 tires at 20,000...

Mine showed up at 8,900. You'll start hearing it before you see it - when you decelerate from 30 down through 15 mph.

I have an 04, my dealer says he thinks the problem was corrected. My tires look good at 10500 mi. and it steers straight. "Hope yours won't get worse"

I have a '04.5 and the feathering showed up around 9000 miles.

And with my dealer, it all was covered (alignment and new tires).

Default Checked my tires

I now have approx 17,300 miles on my '04 roadster. About 2 weeks ago I curbed a rim so yesterday I took it to a rim repair guy to let him fix the rim. While the wheel was off the car I took a look a the tread and it looks like normal wear to me. The stock tires are very soft rubber and I think if I get 25-30k out of them that will be great. I'm then going to replace them with Michelin Pilots.

My brothers 04' has just over 18k miles on it and no feathering (stock rims and tires)

I only got 2500 miles on mine so I guess its to early to tell...

I have a '04 60,000+ VIN and the front end was set at the old factory specs, trashed the tires with 8K miles, the dealer made one call to Nissan and within 3 hours I had 2 new front tires and a realigned front end to the new specs. The car is perfect now, hope it lasts. (and this was not the dealer I brought the car from)

From what Performance Nissan stated, Nissan did something to the front end for the 05's. Not sure of the parts thought but they were different than the 03/04's. I think different spindles.
