Thinking of trading up to a 2005 911 Carrera Coupe S
Since I live/work oversea's for the US Government I can buy cars tax free. So an $80k porsche in the states would cost about 10 to 15% cheaper here in Germany. No gas guzzler tax. No European tax. I think I can get my payments to around $1020 a month... Not sure if my insurance will go up considering its German made and the parts would be cheaper here incomparison to nissan parts. What do you think?
I would go for it, not sure about how your car insurance would since your overseas. The only problem I would see is if you plan on keeping the porshe and tranporting it back to the US. You would have to pay taxes, fees and some conversions. Good luck in your purchase!

Looks like I will be to afford buying the Carerra S around Oct 1st 2005 when most of my credit cards ($15K) and our small Chevy ($8K) is paid off. That would leave me with the following expenses: rent, insurance, food/beer, student-loans, and the 350z payment. At which time I can trade in the 350z to get the porsche.
I am working this out in my head as I type this...

Hey Sselway you sound like me, I was just looking at Porche's at the dealer in K-town. Thinking of trading up. I had more people looking at my CS roadster than looking at the Porches. If you can afford it go for it. By the way, a good place for speed test is right after Mobil Martin/A6 club where it hits three lanes. I've hit 159 everytime.
I assume that since you said trading up that you already have a 350Z? If so save the money on the Porsche and throw a TT kit in the Z and you will have Carrera S' for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
