Finally got the roadster!!
Hello to all of you in this forum. My name is Richard. I have been reading and gaining knowledge from all of you, and finally pulled the trigger on a 2005 Silverstone/Ventilated Burnt leather, 6MT, NAV, Orange Touring Roadster today.
Only driven it home about 5 miles so far. Then, the wife and I went out to get her G35 sedan, but that will have to be brought in through dealer transfer by Tuesday.
As soon as I am able to, I will snap some photos of the ZR and post them.
I have one question. I did not get a nav manual. Does Nissan publish one, or do they assume that it is simple to use and a manual is not necessary? It seems simple, but that is only for someone that has palyed with them before. Please let me know.
Thanks again for the help. Now it is time for me to start contributing meaningful information.

Thanks zand02max. The car is new and has manuals. It just does not have one specifically for the NAV, and I think that needs one for itself, since the regular manual does not cover using the navigation features of the NAV.
I will have the dealer order a NAV manual.

Hehehe. I found the manual inside the storage pocket behind the passenger seat this morning. Sorry about that.
I can vouch for rolling's statement. My previous car had NAV. My wife was not too fond of it. One morning we were on the road and she wanted to find a Cracker Barrel restaurant that was in the area. Entered "Cracker Barrel" into the NAV, saw it was about 1/4 mile away through some back streets, and got voice directions to the retaurant. My wife said, and I quote, " I guess it was worth the two thousand dollars." Now, she wants one in her car.
I hardly ever used it to find destinations or get directions. You have to be careful. It can lead you astray if you follow it blindly. It is a great tool, if used as a map, for finding your way through back streets to beat traffic jams on the collectors and arterials, or getting through unfamiliar neighborhoods. To me that is worth the money.

Did you go to a dealership or a broker? Would love to hear how your buying experience went.
Freebirdz: I got the knowledge from the internet forums. Solicited a few quotes over the net, but there were only three cars with the options that I wanted in southeast and southwest Florida. One week ago, one of them got sold. By this time, I was contemplating waiting for the 2006, but decided that there is not enough of a difference to wait, so I went ahead and bought from the local dealer. It turns out they had the second best price (the best got sold the week before), but I got it after walking out and calling back. Got it at invoice. The overall experience was pretty good.
Oh, one last thing. The car had a low tire pressure warning before I drove off the lot. They introduced the service advisior to me, and I told him about it right there. He took the car in the back for a technician to look at it, and they gave me a WE OWE for new sensors. I went home, read the manual, checked the tire pressure sticker on the door jamb, discovered the tires seemed to be under inflated, got the tire pumped, and the warning disappeared. It turns out, the 18 inch wheels use different pressure than the 17s which are standard, and that is what the sensors are calibrated for, and that is what is whritten on the sticker. Unfortunately, the tech skipped the simple checks and went straight to the complicated.
On another topic, I have a question for 6MT owners. Does the transmission have metal knocking sound when the gears are changed? (like clank, clank) Also, the clutch seems to rattle sometimes when it is feathered. In general, the transmission sounds noisy, but that is how it sounds in the s2000 as well, so I am thinking it might be normal in these short throw shifting gear boxes. Is this the case? Please let me know.
Thanks for your reply.
