hehehe...and i still refuse to cough up 12K for APS TT....I would use that amount to down Z06...
Many ppl say roadster is slow because it's heavier.
Well, I raced a Ford XR8 ute, and Killed it by 1/2 a car length with a passenger onboard and that was a V8. I'm proud to own a Z, especially a 350 Roadster.

I actually traded my silver coupe in for a sunset LM roadster, at first I was hesitant but after a while I realized that I'd been missing out... now the whole roadster deal being being slower or less quicker, thats a perception thing yeah you got about 200 LBS more but it's a really slight diferrence. I think breaking in your engine really determines a lot... along with suspension and tires..... etc I recently installed coil overs and 19's which are lighter than the stock 17's and I tell you that 5k mile roadster feels quicker than my coupe did at 45k miles.... and I look cooler than I did in my coupe...lol you may be able to compensate for added weight by making some mods..... OH! and please don't race other cars with your TCS option enabled..! you'll probably lose.... trust me I did....

lol .
then today...v6 accord coupe (05 model i think ) tailgating me looking for some action, i knew when i made this right turn at the light , he was gonna hauled ***...sured enough, as soon as i turned right, i heard a chirp from behind and saw him coming at me lightning speed pulled up right next to me....i kept it at 2nd gear and floored it...and i pulled a little bit but not much....was never able to completely lose him, then there was traffic....
i really don't race my car..but i kept getting picked on and i get the itch sometimes...but man i realize my car is super slow
, maybe cuz of big fat tires and heavy sound system....anyways that's my story , no flame please

And, yes, adding 200lbs of subs, amps, boxes isn't going to help. The ZR is definitely more of a cruiser than the coupe, but it is fast enough for me, most of the time. Whenever you opt for the open top model of ANY car vs. the coupe, you will be sacrificing a little in terms of straight line performance.

Also, I plan to purchase aftermarket wheels...are the Volks GT-C 19" size lighter than the stock 06 rims?
