Default Who knew the '06 ZR was so hard to get??

I finally made up my mind on the car and set out to get either:

1) '06 ZR Enthusiast Silverstone, 6MT, side air bags (do custom leather later)

or

2) '06 ZR Touring Silverstone/Burnt Orange, 6MT

I figured it would be 6 weeks MAX wait time right? But no! Neither are available in the next 2 months of allocation in the entire western region and now I had to place a special order for one which will take 12-16 weeks. Blargh!

Soooo excited though. Will be joining the family soon, and I've already got the mod list going haha.

I was just at the philly car show and i seen one there it seems like the doors are lighter than my 2005 roadster. Is that true?

Wow, that's going to be a hard long wait. I'm excited for you though. The silverstone with the burnt orange ventilated seats looks sweet. Welcome.

Guys,
Thanks for all the help. I'm located in southern california and two separate dealers already ran the search and there's nothing here or coming within the next 2 months. I dunno about trucking one in from the east coast cuz I doubt they will give me a good price. I placed the order today via Performance Nissan (good people!) for a price of $300 under invoice.

Remember ZR=exclusivity. Production is only 5-6000 annually worldwide.

I'm in SW Fla and when I started looking I did an internet search on most of the dealers within 100 miles. All of them only had automatics in the roadsters except my local dealership. Luckily the had the color and package I wanted and gave me a pretty good deal. Try the net, most dealerships list what they have in stock.

I didn't wait a day. Of course, when I walked into the dealership I didn't know I wanted a roadster. I was looking for a coupe, but when I saw that magnetic black roadster with burnt orange seats I couldn't resist. I drove it home that afternoon.

I guess I missed the "anticipation is half the fun" aspect of buying a car.

I couln't be more pleased.

Ken

Yeah its their "base" model. You can get either enthusiast, touring, or grand touring. I thought the touring wasn't right for me as you pay $2500 more to get leather/heated seats and the godforsaken bose system. I'm tossing the radio the first chance I get so I figured it wasn't worth it for me.
