ZRT in winter??
Hi,
I live in Toronto, so there is quite the winter here. I'm wondering if anyone has driven the roadster in winter and how does it feel? I know the roadster had more weight in the back which is why they reduced the rim size to 18" insted of 19" stock and why they put in the 25lbs dead weight in the front to balance it even more. Does this mean it should be better to drive in the winter than the coupe since you would get more traction?
another thing is the soft-top. can it handle salt, freezing rain and snow?

I'll give you some advice since your fairly new to the forum (and from my city
). Most people will flame the crap out of you if you ask common questions that have been discussed before. Of course we are more civilized in the ZR forum.
Use the search tool, there are dozens of threads on this topic. In short, with snow tires, the Z responds very well to snow and can be used as a daily driver (unless there is 6 feet of snow outstide).
The soft top has proven very durable with respect to weather conditions.

Ditto the search comment - this place is loaded with info. Getting used to using it will really help you find an incredible amount of info.
Being in Ottawa, I park my ZR in the winter - mostly because I have a Maxima as a winter beater. But when it dies I am considering driving the ZR in the winter. I know of 2 people who drive coupes all winter - good winter tires and careful driving habits and you should be fine. Do remember ZR's, unless you get the top of the line edition in Canada, do not come with VDC, so be careful.
Also, there are lots of choices re. tires - given the size of the brake disks you can drop down a couple of sizes if you want - not the best look, but hey, its the winter.
