Default Custom Sub Box for Roadster?

With limited trunk space in the roadster, it appears pretty hard to get a sub box in the trunk while still having it somewhat "usable". Please post pics of your Roadster Sub enclosers.

Nazar makes custom boxes for the roadster that bring your subs into the cabin, placing them in the stock bose/glove box areas. A quick forum search should bring up the info you need to get ahold of him / check out some installs using them.

The problems with nazar's box is the size and shape. It is just a mold of the glove box, and as such, has little depth for a decent sub. I was a very dissapointed in the design when I got mine considering all the praise he gets. I guess it is just the fanboy syndrome. I modified mine to fit a deeper sub, and will likely stick with making my own boxes for now on like I normally do.

I have Nazars sub boxes. They were made using my car. Personally I think they are more then sufficient for your average Z owner on these boards. They conserve space and provide sufficient depth to give clean sound at a reasonable DB level. Of course there are people that want much higher quality sound in a drop top, but that is not me.

While I do not compete in IASCA or anything, with the top up it is more then enough to ring your ears and move your guts/ clothes. With the top down at 80mph I can very easily hear the base. Of course I also have 2 sets of mids and 4 sets of components installed throughout the cabin, so maybe this is why I can hear & feel the bass so well.

I say research on the boards, PM or call some of the opponents/ proponents and decide what your stereo goals and budget is. Then make your decision.

Good luck.

Not 100% sure but here is the link to their online store.

Looks like $280 per box, but I am pretty sure Nazar has a deal going on the boards. Call them if you want to get a price quote and let them know you are from the boards. 603-642-4222.

Put my 1 L7 to your 2 and youll see they are not very good. I built the box out about an inch to make enough room to mount the sub have like .8 cubic feet now and it will stop your heart.

Cool, I am not a Stereo guy, so can't say what the specifics #'s are for proper sound quality. I know in a Roadster you will have to fight the effects of road noise and wind, so I was only aiming for basic clarity and loud enough for me to hear at 80mph with the top down.
