Default 2006 Roadster Option Differences?

Alright, the more and more time I spend in the roadster section, the more and more I feel like my car is a loaner.

Anyone else with these on their 2006 Roadster?

- 2003-2005 Style Headlight/Taillight Combo

- 6600 RPM Redline

Well, guess that's it for now...thought I was gonna have more.

dude, i honestly have no idea what you're talking about.

don't get mad if i'm interpreting it differently. but what are you asking about? why would someone put 03-05 TL and HL on their 06?

if your's is an 06 roadster & you swapped out the lights for 03-05s, then

If your Roadster really is a 2006, then someone at the dealership swapped out the 06' headlights for the 03'-05' ones... You got ripped...

Only the manual 2006 roadster came with the 7000 rpm redline, the automatics still have the 6600 redline.... If you have a manual and the redline is only 6600 rpm's then you have a 2005 Roadster not a 2006.

EDIT: after re-reading your post, Im with CEO350Z, im not sure what your getting at? Are you complaining or are just telling us what you have on your car???? Im a little confused myself now... lol

LOL, sorry, I was kinda doing both.

I was complaining in the sense that everyone has been telling me that no 06's come with those types of lights and that's what mine has!

I was telling you what I have in the sense that I was hoping that someone else would be in the same boat.

I've come to the conclusion that someone at the dealership swapped out the lights before I made the purchase. I was so psyched about getting the damn thing, that the last thing on my mind was the headlight/taillights. I have an autostick so, aparently it is normal to have the 6600 redline. So again, the only anomaly now is the damn lights. I have an appt with the sales manager at Nissan here first thing Saturday morning. I garantee I'm not leaving without the proper 06 lights.

Thanks for...kinda helping...

Question

Did you buy the car from a Nissan Dealer?

When did you buy it?

How many miles were on it?

What is the build date on the doorjamb sticker?

You do have the '06 front bumper cover & 18" wheels.

The oem '06 headlights & taillights are $$$$!

BTW, was your car new when you bought it? Or did you buy it used? If it was used then you probably will be stuck with the 03-05 headlights/taillights, but if its new then you shouldn't have a problem getting the dealership to put in the right headlights... odds are someone who works there thought they could swap them out without anyone knowing the difference....

I wouldn't let this get you down on your purchase tho, you bought an awesome car, enjoy it

For those looking at used Z's how do you tell the difference in the head and tail lights?

The 06' headlights have like an eyeball plus they don't have the orange strip on the side like the 03'-05' headlights, see pic's below for example.... The 06' Rear taillights are LED's so you will see a bunch of little circles...

Yeah, very easy to tell the difference...I was just so excited when I got it that headlights were the last thing on my mind. It was dark out too. The taillights are old as well, they aren't the LED version.

I'll let you guys know what happens this weekend. I made an appointment with the sales manager as soon as I noticed they were the old style lights. MY TPS doesn't work either, so something probably got jacked there too. They are the rays though.

We'll see....To Be Continued....

P.S. Is that a G35 spoiler Built2shredZ?

I forgot about the pic above. The correct wheels for a Touring Roadster but, they're not Rays.
