Ask the service manager to explain how that cosmetic item affects the electrical functionality of your tail lights.

 

There is a possibility that changing body parts could have resulted in damaging the wires but it would be unlikely. Do you get any voltage at all at the wires?

 

this has happen before and what it could be is a short in the wires.. or u might have the wrong bulbs in place if ever replaced them before... get a multi meter and test your wires.......

 

You mean instead of taillamps the brake lamps lights up ?
If so what happens if you switch your lights off and hit the brake ?
Describe function of the third brake lamp.

IMO it must poor earth of rear light area.
