seat moving forward while convertible top being put up
i was wondering why the passenger seat tilts forward when the convertible top is being put up and why the drivers seat does not move as well
Well the way i see it i've had many friends in the pss when the top was being put up. It moves forward because I think the pass goes back further and the bar hits or will hit them in the head it happened to friend of my he leaned back and the bar hit his head. So that why its goes forward. saftey feature.

The owners manual says that it is a safety measure. An "alert," if you will, to the passenger that tells them the top is in motion. Obviously the driver does not need an "alert" as they are the one that is operating it. You can cancel the seat movement simply by turning off the passenger automatic seatback button on the back.

The passenger seat tilts forward so you don't whack your passenger in the head with the top... The driver seat doesn't need to do this as you lean forward anyways to hold the button down to put the top down/up...
