B. The dealership would be the last place I would take my car to get detailed, unless you like swirl marks.
C. I hate to break it to you but wax or anything similar to what your man uses all perform the same task. They help "protect" your car's finish.

The difference is in the protectant. They make a specific protectant for both.

Just ordered the Aerospace 303 for my top and will be sending back my can of unused Raggtopp fabric protectant. Unfortunately, this past Fall I did use a can of the fabric protectant but atleast I know what to get from know on.
As far as the Dealer's "Super Magic Protectant" for your cars paint....all they use is Synthetic polish/wax. You can usually expect maybe up to six months (at the most) of protectant. I prefer Carnauba waxes as they give me a better shine and they are easy to work with.

The dealer protectorant is guaranteed for 7 years to protect the paint and comes with a warranty. The dealer has redone the car, for free, everytime I had new body parts put on and painted. As for wearing off, LOL, the last time I had some graphics put on it took eons for the shop guys to sand off the protectorant. It is much better than wax.
Swirl marks, maybe you guys go to the wrong dealers.

I just ordered the 303 convertible top care and cleaning kit as pictured in the blue box above, as well as some brush recommended to be safe for our tops - oxo feathered cleaning brush...so I guess I will see when my stuff gets here...I am sure it will work great because a lot of people recommend it, and haven't heard of anything better.

Used Zaino for a year or two, but what a PIA - way too labor intensive for long term use. Went back to wax. Makes life easier IMO
