Default Silver or black??

This is the question that I asked ZR owners last January before I ordered my 2007. There were a number of strong view points, one way or the other. After long consideration, I went "practical", not with my "heart" and ordered Silver.

I kept thinking about it, and decided that I REALLY wanted black and would "pay the price" with the higher maintenance requirements for keeping black looking showroom fresh. I changed the order and never looked back.

The ZR arrived at the end of April. It has been two months now and I couldn't be happier with my choice. I had the ZR detailed by a professional and have kept it under a factory cover when not in use. I use Mequier products to keep up the detailing and it has worked well.

I live in snow country, so the ZR will be garaged for the winter.

Here is a picture.

Black is the way to go for ZR because it looks better while the top stay up.

The only regret that I have is that I picked Super Black rather than went silver.

I have to clean the car every time I drive it. The dust, pollen, and bird pee show up like crazy. The battle with the swirls and whirls is an impossible one. I've spent $200-$300 on cleaning cloths, pads, Zanio, and a Porter-Cable random orbiter.

Silver is the way, unless you like washing your car a lot...

Congrats....

Although I'll be interested in getting your view point after you have had the car for a year

But for purely looks, you can't beat black...

SB is a PITA but there is no color that looks better IMO.

Agreed, especially just after a complete detailing session. However, it is hard enough for me to drive my CS roadster around after a 4 hour detailing job. I can't imagine how I would feel if I had a black one. You may not get the deeeeep shine on a silver as you do with black but it still looks great.

Heh the San Marino Blue is almost as hard to keep clean, but it looks soooo good in the sun. Black is dead sexy for sure though.

I almost bought the diamond graphite (was thinking about keeping it clean) but my previous car (G35 coupe) was that color, so I went with something different.

Anyhoo, grats on the nice ZR!
