DTC is on every corner in NC you should know that seeing you work for the company Mr Assman. Second again... you ask for feedback and opinions and you got it? I think you should skip the grill and go with an interfooler and some Chrome dubs...then you hang with these cool guys. Your very right volks and a body kit will look rice.

But to the OP, look around on the forum. You're coming here saying you want chrome 20's and a grille. Most people here either have or like body kits or cf or gold wheels. The crowd here is into modifying, not pimping out their Z, which is what we see chrome dubs and grilles as. That stuff is for big SUVs and luxury vehicles. The Z is neither. So people are going to tell you not to do it because we all think it looks bad and is a shame to let ugly mods get all over our prized car. Just letting you know for future reference. But hey you might have some decent wheels in mind.. who knows. Also, the grilles for the Z suck so you might not find one you like cause they are all ugly.

Anways...

No 20's won't hurt your car or make it hard to drive or whatever concerns you may have if it's your DD. We just hear 20's and chrome and hope that the car doesn't look like this:

naw - wasn't directing that at you. i agree that a lot of 20's look plain gay. we don't want something so "blingy" that is detracts from the car itself. just want something a bit different than the stock set-up. as for the grill, i think we may just leave it as is. all the grills i see look like crap you buy at kragen and just stick onto your car . . . like chrome windshield wipers! Amy doesn't like how the bumper kit looks, so we won't go that way either. who knows - we are in no big hurry, so we may find something we like. as we all know - the car looks great as it comes from the factory, so it's not like we HAVE to change it right away! thanks for your input . . .

Default The Girlfriend Speaks...

Ok Gentlemen this is Amy aka "The Girlfriend"

I would like to thank you all for your interesting comments and suggestions.
Let me share a bit of information with you.
I decided to purchase my new 350 because I was going to take a more conservative route. My previous cars have been a bit more performance oriented.
I am in my late twenties and wanted to go a bit more conservative and classy.
Obviously, by the majority of suggestions received, this crowd takes more of a teenage mentality. Taking into consideration body kits and gold wheels (giggle), lets just say "been there, done that".

I will keep looking for 20" chrome wheels (maybe with some black in them) that will fit the look of the car, not take away from it.
Also, I don't appreciate the grills offered for the car, so I will keep looking for something more unique and fitting. (Although I did like flava flav's grill tremendously).

Anyway, thank you for the support & happy to hear from you all.
Regards,
Amy

p.s. I will have you know that i DO NOT clip curbs!!

20" Chrome Rims (in general) & Chrome Grill is not conservative or classy, but that's just my opinion ..... And will see about the curb rash

Back on topic you won't have any problems with 20" rims fitting as long as you stick to the right offsets and tire size. Being your BF works at a tire shop he shouldn't have any problems figuring out what sizes to go with.

Here's a sample for Black OZ Galileo III's (with polished lip)

Front (20x9)
offset: 34mm
Tire Size: 245/30-20

Rear (20x10.5)
Offset: 40mm
Tire Size 275/30-20

EDIT: Here's some Black Chrome Ray's
Front: 20x9.5
Offset: 25mm
Tire: 245/30-20

Rear: 20x10.5
Offset: 30mm
Tire: 275/30-20

Hi, girlfriend

My husband bought me this grill for my birthday and I really like it: http://www.abousquet.com/images/z/S2010018.JPG

The wheels are also new - I just bought 19" this week - after shopping for WEEKS.

Best thing to do, I think, is look at lots of pictures online and visit local car shows - boyfriends/husbands are great help but really can't know exactly what you're gonna like.

Congratulations on the car - hope you love it as much as I do - and good luck!

IMO, 20 inch 5/7 spoke gunmetal rims compliment any car in any color...esp a 350z...you couldn't go wrong but you find something more right for you
