Angry 2007 only 4000 miles Needs Slave Cylinder!

The clutch pedal on my 2007 GT roadster was starting to not fully retract at about 4000 miles. Sometimes I would have to lift up the partially depressed pedal with my toe, other times it would not pop back up until a second or so after removing my foot from the pedal. I brought the car into the dealer thre times. First they couldn't replicate the problem; on the second visit they bled the system and put in new fluid. Finally on the third visit they advised me I needed a new slave cylinder and that it would take a full day to install. I know that this forum has been aware of problems on the 2007 MT models for quite some time now, yet both Nissan NA and the dealer professed to have "No knowlege" of any transmission problems with the 07's. Is this a big job and will the car be as good as new from the factory? I'm very disappointed.

All dealerships confess they have no knowledge about problems with a car.... It's there standard reply.. Besides a potential customer could be standing near by and they wouldn't want to scare them off from buying the car... That said problems with car models are usually small percentage, you just got unlucky and got a bad one..

Long as they have good mechanics working there it should be good as new...

I have an 07 roadster and have not had that problem. So far the car has been flawless. If this is the only problem your having and the dealership takes care of it I wouldn't worry about it being a big deal. Taking it back 3 times wouldn't be much fun.Get it fixed and enjoy your Z.

Just got this problem at 3500 miles on my 07. Total BS! I can't even get it in gear, it is stuck to the floor and going nowhere. Argh!

Default Repaired under warranty. so far so good.

Replaced Slave cylinder 2 weeks ago. So far problem has not recurred but it did not manifest itself originally until 4,000 miles or so. So let's keep our fingers crossed.
