It is definetly vinyl.

Poly Vinyl Chloride (PVC) to be exact. Use a vinyl cleaner and protectant. 303 works perfectly.

The Roadster's top is made from synthetic material (two posts up - Poly Vinyl Chloride).

Until Haartz or any other reputable source says otherwise IT IS STILL VINYL.
Dear Charles,
Thank you, for taking the time to inquire about RAGGTOPP Convertible Top Care products for complete exterior care. RAGGTOPP products have been thoroughly tested and endorsed by The Haartz Corporation (OEM) the world's leading manufactured of convertible topping for virtually every American and European convertible automobile manufactured throughout the world with the exception of the Honda S2000, Mazda Miata (vinyl) and Nissan 350Z. www.haartz.com
Per Doug Harrtz, the Nissan 350Z has an acrylic/vinyl tops and IS NOT Fabric. It looks and feels like fabric and should be protected with RAGGTOPP Vinyl Protectant with UV blockers and NO Silicone. Several owners of vinyl convertible tops have used RAGGTOPP Fabric Protectant on their tops without harming the material. After you spray the top, you must spread/wipe dry with a clean cloth or rag.
You should use RAGGTOPP Vinyl Protectant on your dash and car bra to protect against UV damage. Our products do not contain nasty silicone and you will not get a wet/shinny look on your dash. Please call me at (800) 377-4700 if you have any questions or need additional information.

Nissan consistently calls the top 'CANVAS, CLOTH'. But, it's obvious that it's not just that. I'm waiting for a call back from NNA to find out for sure. In the meanwhile, don't be a DICK and try to have a civil back and forth.
I bet they pulled the top's material name Poly Vinyl Chloride right out their magic hat.
By the way, it's "in the meantime". I don't even know why I'm responding to you. You're one of the few dopes left on this site that still thinks our tops are made from cloth.
