Question Definitive method to determine TRIM level?

I just drove back from California with my 2006 Interlagos Fire Roadster.
I *thought* it was a Touring trim. The dealer's used car sticker said - "Enthusiast". It has heated leather seats, 7-speaker Bose w/subwoofer. Those are two options I wanted, so it didn't matter that much.

I would like to know which trim it is, because of the non-obvious. Is it pre-wired for satellite radio? That was apparently done for the Touring/Grand Touring trims.
It does not have 19" rear wheels, so I think that rules out the Grand Touring possibility.

The door jam plate has Trim = G
I have been unable to find the cross-reference for the code.
Anyone have a definitive answer for me?

Thanks!

Grand Touring Roadsters didn't receive the 18/19 Rays wheels only the Coupes did.

I'm no expert and new to the whole Z thing but it sure as hell sounds like touring to me.

Does it have Brembo's? GT's (and track models too) come with Brembo's.

Does not have Brembos. That is assuming that they are yellow in color and/or labeled "Brembo" as I've seen on earlier models.

So that means I have a "Touring".
If someone had the definitive code list for the Trim, I'd know without doubt.
I could still have an Enthusiast with options.

Anyone got the code list??

I doubt someone put the Bose + leather + the butt warmers in an Enthusiast. If it doesn't have Brembos' and has Bose, then you have a Touring Model. Dealer's loss!

I have a 04.5 roadster with bose and leather heated seats. It also has 18" wheels. I bought it use so I don't why all the extra options. It does seem odd. The way I figured out that it was an enthusiast was that it had TCS and not VDC which is standard on the touring model. Loook for the switch below and to the left of the steering wheel if it says VDC you have a touring model, if it says TCS you have an enthusiast. Either way you have a great car. Enjoy!!

Default Mystery Solved

It's an enthusiast. Dammit - I wanted to easily install satellite radio with the existing radio. Besides that - I'm happy. The only thing missing that i wanted is the pre-wiring of the Touring. Not sure why the original owner spent $36k for the enthusiast with the options, and not $37k for the touring... doesn't make any sense to me. Oh well.. thanks for the responses!!

^^ Hold on. It may yet be a Touring.

I just bought mine in Orlando this morning. It came with the original window sticker. As you can see, it does not come with VDC on a button left of the steering wheel. Mine is a touring and it has TCS.

Leather seats? Bose? Sounds like a Touring model to me...

~KK

The 2006 350Z Roadster is offered in three well-equipped models ? Enthusiast, Touring and Grand Touring.

Standard 350Z Roadster Enthusiast features include power seats, power-operated soft top, electrically operated storage cover, rear wind deflector, 18-inch cast aluminum-alloy wheels, bi-xenon headlights, automatic climate control, a choice of 5-speed automatic or 6-speed manual transmission and more.

The 350Z Roadster Touring model features a Bose audio system with 6-disc CD changer and 7 speakers, leather-appointed seats and standard side-impact air bags.

The 350Z Roadster Grand Touring model adds Brembo brakes and Vehicle Dynamic Control.

Four options are available, on the 2006 350Z Coupe and Roadster: a DVD-based navigation system (Touring, Grand Touring and Coupe Track models only); satellite radio (with choice of XM? or Sirius? service), side and curtain side-impact supplemental air bags (Coupe) and side supplemental air bags (Roadster Enthusiast model).

Just call Nissan with your VIN number and they will send you an original copy of the window sticker and you will know for absolute sure.

If yours is an AT, it will come with TCS but not VDC. Only MT have VDC.

Maybe it's a coupe/roadster thing? I have an 05 touring coupe, 6-speed, and it has VDC.

What I am trying to say is that as long as yours is an AT regardless of your trim level, you will not have VDC. Perhaps this summary from the FAQ in the forum will shed some light:

Model Breakdown (2006):

Base:Bi-xenon HID's, 18" rims, 6-speed MT only.

Enthusiast: Adds TCS, VLSD, Cruise Control, Auto-dimming rearview mirror, aluminum pedals, Illuminated audio controls on steering wheel. Availble with MT or AT.

Performance: No longer exists in current lineup.

capability, leather seats w/ power and heat. Available with MT or AT.

Track: Adds Brembo Braking system, underbody aero package, rear
hatch spoiler, lightweight Rays rims (18"x8.5" Front, 19x9.5" rear). MT only.

Grand Touring: Adds Brembo brakes and Rays Rims from Track model, underbody aero package, Bose sound system, and leather seats. Available with MT or AT.

*Please note all automatic models Enthusiast up only had TCS, no VDC.

Model Breakdown (2003-2004.5):

Base: 3.5L V6 with 287hp/274 ft-lbs of tq., 17" rims. Only available in 6-speed MT.

Enthusiast: Added Cruise Control, HID headlights, Aluminum pedals, Auto-dimming rearview mirror, VLSD, and TCS. Available in either 6-speed MTo r 5-speed AT.
