I just bought a 2006 350z Grand touring convertible. Just wondering what are the differences between the 06 and the 03-05 body parts
I know the front and rear bumpers are different, but not sure if the 03-05 would still work.


Any help is appreciated!!

rear bumpers are the same.

the front bumpers are different. the front bumpers for an 03-05 will fit on an 06 though. only thing you have to worry about is when adding a lip. the older model lips will not fit on an 06 bumper. if your replacing the whole bumper, dont worry about it.

 

headlights + taillights ...front bumper...rest of the body parts are the same. I am building an 05 Roadster and all the parts going on it are from an 06. So far no problems...

 

There is a difference in the hoods also.

Hood is the same from 03-06. The headlights and taillights changed from 06+.07+ has the hood bump to make clearance for the HR motor. 06-08 have minor changes in the interior. More Brushed aluminum parts and minor changes.

 

06~ 07 08 dual intake, interior, hood...thats about it...

 

You're right. I got my years confused.

 

What pushed me to spend a little extra on the 06 was the door panels, they change them a lil bit for this year, looks more acceptable for me

 

Not so much different with the body parts as previously mentioned. The main differences are with the cabin. Hazard light switch in different position, now by the gear lever. Ashtray now has a sliding top instead of lift top. Different aircon & heater switches, I'm sure there are a few more differences. Basically the design is now more ergonomic.
