I removed the emblems on the rear and swapped out the front.

Question Blind Spot

Nice roadster!!!! Just wondering what the blind spots are like with the top up. I rely heavily on the little window in the coupe. Without it I would have hit someone alread.

There were no holes under the rear emblem. I had been warned about the holes by Strictly Z so I had already purchased "Z" emblems from Courtesy Nissan, but when I got the old emblem off and there were no holes, I left it off. I think it looks cleaner without emblems. What do you think?

The blindspots are pretty large with the top up, but at this point I haven't had the top up very much when driving.

I was thinking the same thing! I thought about doing it to my Z when I first got her, but decided to stick with them. I can't wait to see the Liquid SIlver in person. Cheers. -m

What process did you use to remove the rear emblems--I want to take mine off too but I don't want to damage anything.

Thanks,

Mark

I used twine to remove the emblems. Actually dental floss for the 350Z emblems on the rear and twine for the Nissan emblem. Just be sure that you are putting the pressure on the emblem and pulling slightly away from the paint. Move the twine back and forth to cut through the adhesive. Also, I assume you have a Roadster. If not, I understand that the coupe has holes under the rear emblem. If you decide to change the front, it is more difficult. I used the twine, but it was very hard to get behind the emblem. I used a screw driver (don't panic, I didn't scratch the car). Put the head of a flat screw driver under the edge of the emblem (from the inside). Rest the shaft of the screw driver on the portion of the emblem that says NISSAN. Then carefully put pressure on the screw driver. This should lift the edge enough to get the twine started.

Let me know how it goes.

I decided to just take the rear Nissan emblem off and leave the 350Z emblem on and used your twine method. It worked fine, just took a while to get all of the adhesive residue off. I eventually used a combination of a little WD-40 and Windex and it came off totally clean. Thanks for the tip!

The clear corners are next. I am ready to buy 19" GT-C's as soon as I can get them. I forgot about the adhesive. I was able to remove it through a combination of pulling it off in chunks and rubbing the surface with a clean t-shirt rag. Post some pics of your car.
