Default Bought a Roadster--my order is available

Hi guys--just purchased a Chrome Silver 6-speed touring roadster with 18" wheels and Nismo exhaust yesterday. I have a Silverstone version of this car on order WITHOUT the exhaust that will be available for purchase when it gets here (probably within 2-4 weeks).

The car will be arriving in Houston.

You can call the salesman direct if interested.

How did you get the wheels? Did you pay the 1200? Did they come standard? I can't seem to get my dealers head out of their a$$e$ long enough to find this out.

Please Answer!!! Do your 18 inch wheels have the pressure monitoring system?? Please please tell me!!!!

Thanks and congrats...

The 18" wheels are an option for $ 1,200 on the window sticker, so they definitely are not standard.

I see no evidence of the pressure monitoring system but I will reread the manual tonight in case I missed it.

Thanks,

Mark

From the nissan web site:

"All 350Z with 18" wheels & some Murano vehicles are equipped with a Tire Pressure Monitor System (TPMS). Vehicles equipped with this system can be easily identified by: · The silver-colored metal valve stem installed in each wheel. · The valve stems look slightly larger around (in diameter) than regular rubber valve stems. The Tire Pressure Monitor System includes: · Four valve stem/air pressure senders (transponders) and · A low tire pressure warning control unit (Receiver). "

My valve stems are completely normal-looking black rubber stems, so I don't know what's going on.

Sounds like you can't get the TPMS on the roadster. I can't express the depths of my disappointment with mere words. Well maybe one word. Starts with F. Thanks nissan.

Unhappy Don't Rely on Nissanusa.com

Accoring to Nissanusa.com all Touring Roadsters come with 17" Tires in the Front and 17" tires in the rear and 18" tires in the front and 18" tires in the rear.

Either that means you get 17" on right and 18" on left

Or get you a spare set of wheels and tires.

Or Nissan doesn't know what the hell is going on.

Its sad when bulldog has told us more about the Raodster than Nissan has.

It is the consensus of the group that the roadster comes with 17s on the left and 18s on the right in the northern hemisphere and 18s on the left and 17s on the right in the southern hemisphere.

Default Tire Rotation

With the option of 17" on one side and 18" on the other can we rotate the tires now - Or only if we change hemispheres?

Good question, I should call the dealer and ask. It seems to me that you shouldn't rotate them at all. Rear tire is wider than front, and the right wheels are larger than the left.

I would guess that you should only rotate if you change hemispheres. And then only left to right...
