Default Ventilated Seats

Sorry if this post duplicates questions asked in other threads, I somehow back-doored into the Roadster forum.

Anyway.... Has anyone gotten a Roadster with the ventilated seats and are they truly air conditioned?

If I understand correctly, air from outside the car while it is in motion is funneled through the mesh part of the vented seats. I ordered the sunset Z with orange leather vented seats and I am looking forward to sitting in them. someday.

Default Red - Whats up

My dealership just got a fax saying my car is on a boat. Expected due date of 9/12.

Red is correct about the ventilated seats - its outside air in motion like a vent.

Bummer. True ventilated seats would be great for a convertible. I guess it is time to re-think my next car purchase.

I wonder how this thing works? Or is it just a mesh over the leather surface?

ahh, now I get it, the opening around the neck allows air to flow through.

In all other cars that have this option (Saab 9-5, Infiniti M45, Lincoln Navigator, Ford Expedition, etc) there is a fan setting for the seats and it will actually blow air conditioning on your back. That is what I hope to see on the Z Roadster.

It may be easy to install a fan, I would expect to see kits for this in the future...

Perhaps, but the nice thing about true ventilated seats is having the A/C blowing through, not just warm, recycled air.

EmuMessenger, this question was answered pretty deciseively in this thread, which oddly enough was started by you a while back. Perhaps you weren't aware, but "Mr350Z" is a source from Nissan.

The ventilated seats are cool, but just not for me. They sorta remind me of lawn chairs for some reason...

I remember the thread, just thought everything was speculation and I was not aware of the direct Nissan employment.
