I have an 05 ZR with 12k miles on it. It is a lease that I took over and I have 7 months left on the contract. I had originally made up my mind to keep it once the lease was over and the leasing company has even told me that I am already pre-approved for the lease to become a 5 year purchase.
But after reading thru some of the threads I saw some posts that there might be a slight chance that the new 370Z might come out with a hard-top option. And I am one of the few that does like the styling of the new Z.
So I have a dilema. Should I keep my current one which I love to cruise top down. Or simply turn it in in 7 months and risk the wait for a hard top 370Z option?
What would you guys do?

Jesus! An 05 with 12k on it???? That car didn't see the road very often.
I suspect the 370Z coupe will come out first and the convt will be a year behind. (Just my guess.)

I've been told by the dealer (not that it makes it true) that the 370Z Roadster will be 1 year behind the coupe.
I say buy your '05 (depending on the price naturally) and enjoy it until the 370 Roadster comes out.
BTW I've heard nothing about a hard top option.

That is a total photoshop so don't base your opinion of the G37 Vert on that picture. I think if you are leasing the Z, you will probably over-pay if you buy the car at the end of your lease - especially if you finance it for an additional 5 years!
Nissan has announced that the 370ZR should be released one year behind the coupe so figure two years from now... which means if you can't find another car you would like to lease 7 months from now... (such as the G37 Vert) then maybe you should buy a used 2007 350ZR to hold you over for the additional 17 months.
I just don't see how buying your 2005 after a 3-4 year lease is a wise choice unless you are getting a fire sale price on it. You will have to run the numbers yourself though and figure out what makes the most sense financially.

It's the back seats that kill it for me. I see what you mean on the Solara. Lexus is releasing the IS250 2 door convertible. No competition to the G37 vert in my opinion.
Lexus, BMW, Infinity even the Solara verts, they all look too much alike for my taste.
