i know there is no OEM one but i dont know if there is an aftermarket one. i hope Nissan comes up with one for the new ZR or they go like the new 3 series. Hardtop convertible is the way to go IMO.

i looked into this pretty quite a bit a couple months ago and came up with nothing. It would be sick and something I would pick up in an instant. I can't imagine it would be to difficult to fabricate for a reasonable cost, im suprised there aren't any out there

It would have to be a hard top that is very easily taken off.

if you wanted a hardtop, why didn't you just buy a coupe?

From a security standpoint, I can see where a hardtop would be advantageous. But on almost all other points, I prefer the 'ragtop'.

Rumor is - 370Z Roadster will be hardtop. We'll see in about another year...

There are many previous threads on this topic. This seems to come up every couple months.

... you get the idea, and I'm sure there are more threads on this.

In any case, if I wanted a hard top I would get a coupe. Hard top on a Roadster would be useless in my case since I drive it with the top down 99.5% of the time. That's why I bought a Roadster after all, to drive it topless.

I understand everyones point about buying a coupe if you want a hardtop. but i feel that we all love our Z's equally or we wouldn't be on this forum talking to people who share that feeling. some of us live in areas that have harsher winters then others and we would like to be able to protect the rag top from exposure by using a hardtop. That is why this thread has been discussed so many times. if there wasn't a need for it then it wouldn't be discussed.

Convertible hardtop any day of the week.
For people to say just get a coupe is stupid.
The fun of a ragtop with the look, sound deadening, and protection of a coupe, what is there to not understand about that?

the sound level is the only thing i cant stand about the ZR. when u drive a SLK, an SL or a new 3 CIC with the hardtop conv its just something else. and as stated above the safety aspect of the hardtop conv cant be matched by any ragtop. if the new ZR comes with hardtop i will update but if not i will switch to a BMW.

Ever owned a BMW? If not - rest assured you will become best friends with your service department. Good luck with that....
