What antenna?
My 2005 Roadster came with a very small stubby antenna that appears to only pull in stations within about 40 miles. What do you guys recommend for a more powerful antenna?

40 miles seems great to me. I doubt there are many antennas that will pull in FM stations much farther than 40 miles.

Nearest decent radio station here is about 65 miles away. All my other cars have no problem with that distance.

Put the stock antenna mast back on.
Or get XM/Sirius.

My Z will only do around 40-60 miles and thats it in Texas with flat lands. You won't get more than that.

Bought it used so I don't have the stock antenna. Where can I get one and how big is it?

Because of the frequencies FM is pretty much line of sight.
In Iowa you're going to have a whole lot less range than in Los Angeles where the transmit antennas are located on top of a 6000 foot tall mountain peak. AM radio because of it's frequency tends to bounce off the ionosphere (very nicely at night) so you can hear stations much more distant.

Just bought a stock antenna from a forum member who sent me a PM. I'll let you know if reception is better. Thanks for the replies!

Just received the stock antenna from MagicBaller2001. Works great - now I get probably every radio station in Iowa. Great transaction.
