Default Manual on the earlier versions

I was watching a couple of car reviews today and one mentioned on the early versions (before 2007 I think?) that the hazards might accidently be bumped by peoples elbows while shifting if they had longer arms? Anyone ever experienced this problem? Any solutions if you do keep hitting it?

I have an '03 and I think you would need a rather strangely shaped arm to turn on the hazards while shifting. You might accidentally turn them on getting in the car if you placed your elbow on the switch but even that is pretty unlikely.
