How many people are waiting on smoothlines top to be made?
So it blocks the third brake light?
That is going to be an issue for anyone who's local LEOs like to hand out tickets - I know it will cause a problem here in NJ.
But in all honesty I find the design too bland.

I think this is a cool and viable option for those who own ZR's in areas where having a roadster isn't the "ideal" car to own. Since I live in FL, I don't see me needing/wanting one of these soon... but if I move north for any reason, I would definitely consider it!
I'm not sure if anyone else is on their distro, but they sent me this today:

It has info about dates and pricing.

Just now but it was an old pdf. But honestly. **** these dudes. **** was suppose to come out along time ago. I no longer care for them. I sent them an email Feb 13, 2010 and they reply Jan 3, 2011 with an outdated pdf file. fuc em
I havent given up as Im sure its not easy to make. I never put my top up except in the early spring and late fall and it will need to be replaced next year as it has a tear. I would rather not buy a new soft top and instead have a hardtop to install when the avg temp gets low. A hard top would be nicer and quieter than the soft top in the up position. I still want it and it might look cool if painted to match the car, unique for sure). If a new soft top is over $1000 installed (probably higher) the hardtop becomes alot more appealing.
Oh, and the email says:

looks good IMO!
The roadster used isn't the best model for the top. They haven't posted a painted and finished pic YET. I'm going to try and photoshop in chrome silver. I think it will look good with a modded V2 roadster

Still not diggin it - but I'll wait til actual finished product pics are posted. I dont see any weatherstripping, seals, or trim which I would guess still need to be added. Plus I really want to see how they address the 3rd brakelight. Cops in NJ are ticket happy as it is without giving them more reason to pull you over.
I also think the bare bones model, which may be great for Auto-xers, isnt really ideal for a DD in the winter, which would mean going up to the touring model, which unprepped and unfinished is $2049 at the "buy it now" price. So you are probably looking at somewhere around $2800 if you want to wait to see how it turns out before buying, and include paint and prep.
Kinda pricey if you ask me - I wish there were a few alternatives out there to spark some competitive price wars.
