Temporary fix to rooftop seams?
seem to remeber reading several months ago about someone doing a temporary fix to their splitting seams on their top? I believe they used a tent sealer or glue, but cannot remember the name of the product they used.
I, of course like most, am starting to see the rear passenger seam just above the rear window begin to seperate. I am trying to wait to buy a new top and was trying to stop the seperation while it is "small." Does this sound familiar to anyone?

I think I was reading the thread you're talking about, is this it?

Hey Orion,
Sailboat sail repair tape does a great job of fixing, or acting as a reinforcement to convertible top seams that are feeling the ravages of old age.
The tape has a very strong adhesive, is super strong and flexible, comes in various colors and widths and my old MGB top was totally held together with it.

Jennifer, thanks for the insight. I may go down that avenue if this seam sealer doesn't work. But in looking at the thread posted about it, I don't think I'll have to.
Tblunt, thanks for the link. It is exactly what I was looking for!
