VQ35DE on other cars
Hi All,
I had a posting about my little misfortune that cost me my 350Z. As per members comments, It seems that repair is not possible and finding a salvage to use the parts is proven to be even harder (and not to mention not cost effective). Any one knows if the VQ35DE engine can be used in other cars beside Nissan? I am trying to find a car with very high mileage or blown engine so I can use my WQ35DE engine and transmission on it. So if this engine is compatible with any other brand of car and model?

For example
I have a 2006 Nissan 350Z... I can't put a 2JZ out of a Lexus IS300 because they stopped making it in 2005. But I can put an LS2 in to it as long as it comes out of the CTS-V from 06-07 and doesn't have a check engine light.

Hmmm... are you sure? I may be wrong but I know in the State of NH. As long as the engine and emissions is the same year or newer then the car its going in its fine.
