Can You Track the ZR
Obviously you can but what changes etc. do the track officials make you do to your car to run in a HPDE? Are the roll bars sufficient for the track officials to let car pass?
We had a Track day @ MSR Houston & one of our members drove his Roadster. He let me track it too. It was a lot of fun cause you can hear so much more through the helmet with the top down.
hmm, sooner or later i think you know you will need a roll cage for the zr. I would honestly call the people who host it and ask them what you may need before to compete in the class.
My experience is if it's an open to the public i.e. open enrollment event the ZR is not allowed. Their opinion is that the "roll bars" are either not high enough in the event of a roll over OR the "roll bars" aren't really roll bars.
However, if it is a "private" track day i.e. a car club rents the track for a private event they'll look the other way.
I believe each track sets it's own rules.

Thatks for the help and you too David. Didn't remember asking question here or reading replies. Anyway as of late most track organizers have responded with we will have to check car when we see it. Since no tracks here that's a long way to drive to be told no, thus the question. Was hoping to hear a roadster owner with specific experience and what was told to them. General consensus seems to be no I can't. Thanks again guys for the help.
