Unhappy rattle

My 2007Roadster has a rattle I can't find.Coming from left rear only on small bumps in the road; haven't been able to locate the source or find anything loose. Any ideas guys?

What have you done to locate the problem? What do you define as small bumps?

convertibles are notorious for rattles. does it sound metallic or plastic? if it could pass as a metal sound then id bet its the frame of your top.

I was thinking the same thing. A small bump from the rear on one side only will definitely cause the top to shift a little.

A good starting point is to go through the whole rear of the car with a socket wrench and check any bolts you can get to, especially associated with the top bc they can work themselves loose and give all the plastics a good bang to check that they are well seated. That shouldn't take too long. But I'm not sure how hard it'll be for you to reach any of the tops bolts round the mechanisms.... Seeing as I haven't worked on a vert yet.
