Default Latest information on convertible 350Z

What is the latest news on the roadster? All I have heard is that production will commence early in 2003, to be available February or March 2003, and that it will likely be based on the Touring package. Does anyone know if there will be pre-release ordering? If so, when? Has no one seen any pics of a test version or anything with the top off or a rag or hard top on? If they are set to start production in January, I would think there would be some test vehicles out. Looking for all info.

Since there's delay on the current production, I would think it's not going to be out around March/2003. Maybe start production around March/2003. But it's just my guess.

350Z is going to be very very very VERRRRYY HEAVY

If the Vert is going to be basis on the touring trim I'm guessing the curb weight to be around 3500lbs and the price under 40k

S2000 and boxsters weigh about 2800lbs

S2kPower, you're trying too hard and becoming comical in the process.

Yeah the s2k is lighter cause it is a little ***** car like the mazda miata and the toyota MR2! The 350z looks way meaner with the wide stance. Also the s2k only looks cool with the top down. Once the top is up, it looks weak. I think S2k power is trying to bust on the 350Z cause he is pissed that he bought a S2k and now he is realizing that he could have got a way better car that hardly anyone else will have (compared to the vast amount of people on the roasd driving S2K's).

Hamster Motor, hahahaha. Cracked me up. Doesn't seem like those hamsters turning the wheels are producing enough torque for the s2000. My craftsman 6.5hp motor has more torque than a s2000, hahaha.

Yes, but they drive troll cars. Doesn't that, by definition, make them trolls?

ok, I went to 2 different dealerships here in Oklahoma and they are both telling me that if I order now I will get the car within 4-5months.

I said how sure are you on that? he paused for a moment and looked at me and said "I'm sure it will be in around Xmas time"

I just looked and laughed... these dealerships try hard to get you to get these cars.

On a side note, I have come in contact with 2 350z that have been available due to finances not going through.
But, they are asking $37k firm each.... grrrrrrr

ummmm.. cut that out

hey. I dont see why youd call the s2k a troll. He like hi-revs and light chassis. This is no reason to flame and insult. We like hi-torque and more beef. Mustang guys go even further with the torque and the weight. AH, so what. OPINIONS are fine...

Geez, we can't go a single day w/o a pissing contest, can we?

I'll be the first to say S2kPower is an *** for coming to the Z owners' "house" and posting crap like that.

Similarly, I suspect those who ***** about the S2000's lack of torque haven't driven one or don't know how to drive one...w/ plenty of experience riding and racing sportbikes, so no problems for me.

I don't see a clear winner in the S2000 vs. 350Z debate...which one I'd pick for any given drive could prob. depend on what kind of mood I'm in (and the weather). Too bad I can't have both!
