Just thought I'd check in and report how everything is going.
Owning the car has been a joy. It's my wife's baby but she lets me drive when we're together. It's a great car to drive. Ironically, while I tend to have a heavy foot, I seem to just cruise this thing. I know it can go real fast, I've exceeded the speed limit by an exceptional amount at least once, but I seem to just enjoy cruising at a much slower pace than is normal, for me. But then again, with the top down, it feels like your going faster than you actually are.
So far, we've added almost 3,000 miles to the odometer so it has hit 10K since taking ownership. But this includes the almost 800 miles back from Green Bay to Niagara Falls and the 1500 miles or so we put on with a trip to Cape Cod and Boston (see see Paul McCartney ay Fenway).
Last weekend, we attempted to take a leisurely ride up to Kitchener, Ontario and back, but we got caught in a torrential and destructive thunderstorm (60 mph winds, lots of lightening, no hail, than dog) so we can no longer claim that the ultra-yellow Z has never seen any inclement weather.
The only issue is that the car has developed the rear axle click for which I found the service bulletin. We understand that it is an easy fix and our mechanic will take care of it on Tuesday.
I've been remiss in posting pictures, I just need to take the time to figure out how.
Thanks for listening.
