When trying to open the top on my 350Z, the rear glass will unlock, but will not lift up. Is that a problem with one of the motors?

 

Wow, great description. Are you asking about the convertible top (if you have a ZR) or the rear hatch (if you have a coupe)?

 

Since this is the roadster forum…Yes it is called the 5th bow motor. Search The forum for 5th bow motor repair and on eBay there is a man who rebuilds the motor for $50.00 with lifetime warranty. The rebuild will save thousand dollars. Members of the forum say 95% of convertible problems are the 5th bow motor failure.
